Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 4
Ok what's best for this team right now...
Kelly Oubre is a step in the right direction in terms of a actual NBA athletic wing that can get you 20ppg. Regardless of efficiency he isn't afraid to play hard and aggressive unlike Tobias. Also losing harden I want to somehow come back with a Lavine type star... A star secure on a long term deal that can possibly take the scoring load off of Embiid so he can focus on being a DPOY for the next 4-5 years at least .

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 4
The idea of Siakam is growing on me. If you're going to pay a third guy, I think you want it to be a 2 way forward. Paul George is a far better fit, but the Clippers don't appear willing to trade him, and the injuries/next contract would be a concern. And while I don't love the fit with Embiid, he made it work with Simmons for so long, who clearly provides more issues.
Plus I'm pretty sure those 2 are tight. And obviously there's the Nurse connection.
If there's a way to flip Harden and Tobias into Siakam and role players (some type of huge LAC/TOR 3 way), I could definitely get on board.
If not, I kinda wonder if that's who they have in mind in free agency, particularly with Siakam putting it out there that he won't sign an extension if traded.

If we got a wing I'd prefer him to be able to guard someone.
But I don't watch the games anyway so who cares what I think

Even if you're a kid, you can use words and pretend to seem somewhat like an adult.
Kid? Aren't you the one posting Beal trades after he was traded to Pheonix only because you saw a workout video with him and embiid ?
So you want disable my account because I disagree with this post.
No, no...He doesn't want your account disabled. He was suggesting that maybe you find a way to disable the banging head emoji thingy. Nobody here told you to disable your account. We never said that.

Well, I do watch the games and I think if we added a specimen of a player like Jock Londale, we'd be in a prime position to contend for a world championship title "chip." With his 6'11 255 pound frame he'd be able to really help Paul Reed and Joel Embiid dominate the boards which would then lead to wide-open transition threes that we could nail on the opposing teams. If only we could add a true sniper like Sam Hauser, or Dylan Windler to the roster! Imagine Hauser on a fast break canning threes from downtown all because we were able to add the physicality and dog toughness of a Jock Londale! What a team we'd have!

This is BY FAR best case scenario and path to being a ready made contender still next year. A playmaking forward would be very good for maxey too. Something like
Harden/pj to lac
Mann/powell/morris/siakam to Philly
Tobias/28/30 lac firsts and 30 Philly first to Toronto
Maxey/bev
Mann/Powell/springer
Melton/house/Kork
Siakam/morris
Embiid/Reed/bamba
Kinda small 3 guard but Mann and melton can guard up and are really good defenders

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 4
If the Sixers are waiting for a Harden resolution(whether he goes or stays) for them to make a move in free agency, by the time the situation is resolved there probably won't be anyone left to sign. This could drag out til September.

This is my concern, and why I'd rather we start signing FAs now, or just get the damn deal done. Many on hear are asking for patience. But being patient, makes it so we don't get any good FAs, even though most are already gone, better than the slop we have. Instead, we try to get another star through the Harden trade, which is highly unlikely, but or take on expiring contracts for FA next year, when again, no real star will come here, not to mention it's an underwhelming class.
Better to cut your losses now, and have some time to make some plans, instead of waiting and making promises, that we know that Morey can't keep during next offseason.

I would want Mann too but Toronto would probably demand him in that deal. I don't think Masai would take Harris + picks for Siakam. Agree Cov/Porter would be a risk, but probably not any more than starting Tucker in 2022 lol. We just need to get from point A to B here with Harden/Harris --> Siakam/role players.

What FAs? Who do you want to sign NOW and for how much?
There's basically nothing out there and our roster is almost full anyway.
There's every reason to wait for a better deal since there are no FAs available we can get that move the needle anyway.

Re: Sixers Offseason Thread Part 4
Well that's the thing. A Sixers fan should hope that the reason they have done very little in free agency is because players just opted to go to other teams. If their reason for being inactive is waiting on Harden, that reeks of utter incompetence. You can't allow one aspect of your offseason to completely hold up another. You need to be able to multitask.
You'd hope they weren't that incompetent.

They are multitasking. It's comical to think otherwise. But that's what fanatics do I guess.

It was bestowed upon him based on the piece of his equipment he forced his fallen adversaries to sniff after defeat.

They are multitasking. It's comical to think otherwise. But that's what fanatics do I guess.
They’ve let 3 of their 4 best bench players go and have yet to replace them. They can’t possibly think they’re a better team today than they were a month ago and if they do they’re completely clueless. They have no shooting and they no wing depth. They’ve signed a washer up PG and 3 centers. That’s been their off-season so far.
I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt in not being totally idiotic and seeing that they need wing help, shooting help, and perimeter help, and the fact that they’ve yet to add so when as yourself have said there’s not much left in free agency… that’s disconcerting.
