It’s game one Nick

Tbf with Nurse, of the rest of the available guys who else is playable? Reggie? Rickie? who else?

And playing KJ is already puzzling.

They should find time for Bona and McCain to see what we have, but maybe not in game 1.

If this lead gets bigger, though, then, yes, in this game.

Maxey is a solid 2nd or 3rd option w/o Embiid, he needs Embiid if he’s pushed to be the primary scorer with the opponent’s C being pre occupied on Embiid. He struggles when defenses collapse on him, especially on drives. His playmaking in those situations needs significant improvement. Right now, teams know he’s almost always looking to score, so they focus on blocking his shot. If he became a more consistent passing threat, defenders would hesitate, creating the split second delay he needs to finish at the rim more effectively.

Honestly, Nick should just be plugging guys in and out and see if we can get any hot hands from 3 in there. We're going to die on the court going for 2's while Lillard is nailing 3's.

If Eric Gordon is playing like this, I might play more Council or Reggie Jackson to get some juice on offense.

Now why would you group PG into this? It's not like he said "hey let me hyperextend my knee so I miss games." You wanna be mad at Joel, I'm with you; but going at PG is silly.

This is a statement game from the league. If you rest your stars during big national TV games, expect to be penalized by the refs.

We are just too small without Embiid to guard Giannis. I’m totally fine with how we’ve played tho. Maxey could’ve been better, refs sucked, but the role players showed up & the teams playing hard.

Yabu seems like a solid backup PF.

He’s over thinking it. His rationale was he doesn’t want redundancy in the SL. Do the Celtics care about redundancy in their damn lineup? No. The more guys who can dribble, pass and shoot, the better. Gordon can sometimes do one of those.

Honestly, the game is basically Prince not missing a shot and our guys ice cold from 3.

::EDIT:: Also if Joel were in Lopez wouldn't be able to camp the paint.

Lillard has also outplayed Maxey.

lol get this nonsense off this board. In general, it’s loser mentality to blame the refs. It is even more ludicrous to think, in the era of sports betting, the internet, etc, that the league and refs are somehow in cahoots to penalize us. This is like beyond conspiracy theory. The refs aren’t why they are making threes and we aren’t.
