We are practically in preseason mode with Embiid and PG injured so much, and Edwards, Grimes, and Butler getting integrated into the team. However, it’s tough to see how this team can put it together to contend. They just don’t have the pieces. They need to commit to developing bench pieces for next season. Even if they make it, it’s tough to envision a scenario where this team looks good by playoff time.

He is mostly a hands-off owner. He hired people in Washington that did the right thing.

I think if Morey put together a true contender, Harris would pay the tax. I don’t think he is causing financial constraints preventing us from competing. I just think he has a series of GMs who keep taking this team in the wrong direction. He went out and hired a high profile GM to get it done, and he just hasn’t.

Some owners actively get in their team’s way. Harris is just a clueless owner who puts sports people in place to run the team.

Morey was able to get rid of Simmons so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. That said, this PG contract might be worse than Bradley Beal, which is arguably the worst.
