Thad is playing really well. And the hustle is ridiculous in this game. I think after that Celtic's game, Igg realizes what he is capable of doing on a consistent basis.

what the hell is wrong with iguodala? 3-8 from the line? shaquille o'neal can shoot better than that.

Terrible call

Post#86 » by is1531 » Thu Mar 27, 2008 12:14 am

Young was obviously fouled on the last play of the ist half by Hinrich, but no call. The 76ers have to stop giving up so many trays. It's a 16 point lead, but the Bulls are lucky they are not down 25. Green made that idiotic pass to Iggy to screw us out of 2 points. Those 2 points they will never get back. Thaddeus Young is some kind of player.

ladies and gentlemen, on march 24th andre iguodala was baptised in the sweet red kool aid ("cherry" for you sinners) and was reborn as the beast you see today.
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Iguodala basically has his average at halftime.

He could easily go for 40, but probably won't unless the game gets closer.

And Louis Williams and Thaddeus Young both play great.

And I'm pretty sure Green is gone this year, he had a very good year, and it turned him from bad player with awful contract, to decent player with awful contract.

And I would love to see a Kyle Korver-esque trade for Willie Green.

Man.... half-time is such a downer in a game like this. Bring on the fastbreak and the 2nd half. Hopefully the Sonics can pull off the upset tonight so that we take over 5th in the East.

Please tell me it didn't take you this long to wish they kept him...while Carney is playing better of late, this kid is so long and I think really is a nice defensive swing player. Wasn't that another 'I owe you' trade??

I'm no fan of Willie Green's but he doesn't have an awful contract. He has 3 years and about $10MIL left on his deal. For a guy who averages 12+ points a night, that's pretty damn good.

That said, we're not going to see a Korver-esque trade for him in that we get an expiring and a first round pick for him. With Carney emerging the 2nd half of the year, I do believe Willie will be moved if we do obtain a PF and have to shift Iguodala and Young.

As you say, the team hires professionals to work with the players on these things and so I'm sure their working on it with him if they see the same problem.

Man... I'm straight up using your material against you. In all seriousness though... you might be right but I'm not going to say "never" when talking about whether he can become a good shooter especially when his GM says that he will.

Wow ... you are sure making a mountain out of a simple observation on my part.

I never suggested I or you or anyone was going to teach him the proper way to correct his shot. I merely related an observation. If you look for it you will see it ... if you know how to shoot a basketball.

Also, I didn't say "never" I said I was not sure if he would ever become a good shooter. That is the truth ... I am not sure ...

As far as professionals hired to work with things like that I say .... Absolutely ... However, correcting a shooting technique is sometimes very difficult to accomplish ...as Shaquile O'Neal and Shawn Marion will attest to. It is often too late bye the time they reach the NBA ... They have been doing it that way for such a long time that it is almost impossible to change. So ... As I said ... I am not sure if he will ever be a good shooter ...

dond... I was just being a ballbuster. As I said... you bring up a good point and hopefully Iguodala does improve.

If Dala could make those foul shots and Green could just make a normal pass Dala would have 25 going into the 3rd.
Andre Miller is a bad 3pt shooter.

Alright guys... let's not have a letdown in this quarter. We don't need the Bulls doing to us what we did to them a week and a half ago.

Why does Willie keep shooting 3's?
Andre Miller is a bad 3pt shooter.

A little over 4 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and the scoreboard is in pain in Toronto.

Pistons 45
Raptors 49

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
