See which one plays better with Turner. If Iggy does better, you trade Thad. If Thad does better, you trade Iggy. If they both do good, then whichever deal is better in my opinion.

Iguodala is the better player, so I'd obviously rather have him, even though he's one of my most hated NBA players because of his attitude and selfishness.

It's just that damn contract though. Even money, Iguodala is easily the guy you want to keep.

First and foremost, I'd rather confirm whether or not his role will be unstable under our new coach... as well as how well Turner/Iguodala pair together. If Young still appears to be a poor fit, then I'm sure the likelihood of us being able to trade him for a young 5 during the season would still be very favorable. Case in point, I don't think we have a whole lot to lose by waiting to see what we have before rushing into any decisions on a guy who managed 15 and 5 at age 20.

I would trade Thad for Larry Sanders.

That one's easy for me. Keep him. Mostly, the team is going to need a SF when it turns out that Iguodala can't adapt to his changing role. If he does, then move Thad later on & try to pair him with Brand. Otherwise, I see no reason to move him for the likes of the rights to Whiteside or Aldritch.

DING DING DING!!!! You sir are correct.

Maybe get a little something else too if possible although I dont know how high Thads stock is right now or how high of a pick we would need to get to get Sanders at this point.

Was told if The Collins deal gets done as expected....Lawrence Frank will probably be his right hand man/asst coach assuming he doesnt get a head coaching job elsewhere.

Interesting. We were bound to have some former Nets coach here. Has Frank interviewed anywhere? I seem to remember reading that maybe Chicago had interest but I don't see him landing that gig.

in your opinion, how good is Lawrence Frank?

I've been to the Nets forum, and a lot of them despise him?

i dont really have an opinion on Lawrence Frank.

It doesnt really matter as long as he is just an assistant coach under Collins.

Yea I'm fine with retreads... As long as there assistants.

Honestly Frank wasnt horrible in NJ. The roster just diminished from the Kidd vc rj days and not too many coaches would have squeaked out more W's with that team last season.

Hopefully we hear Collins is the hire sooner than later.

Lawrence Franks is a carbon copy from the Collins/Cheeks philosophy of coaching: Play hard, execute, share the ball. If you don't? Your on the bench. Lawrence Franks is an EXCELLENT assistant and was a very good head coach. I see this as a classy move by Doug Collins to allow Lawrence Franks to get rid of the stigma that is the New Jersey Nets and their blatant tank job.

Another NJ guy... no surprise there. That said, I don't have any reservations towards Frank as an assistant.

It seems like almost every fan base hates their coach. Chicago fans hated Skiles when he was there and he's a very good coach. Cleveland fans hate Mike Brown right now and he's a very good coach.

It's so easy to point fingers at the coach when things don't work out the way everyone hoped.
much respect to the 2011-2012 champions, Miami Heat, well deserved

Not a great exmaple, he is a terrible coach and has been well before just this season. For some reason people wanted to pick him apart this year.

We always picked apart Mike Brown and his "LeBron-iso" offense. It's clear that he was meant to be an assistant.

What I don't understand is why haven't they fired/told Ferry to go. He screwed that franchise in 2006 and they could potentially pay with LeBron leaving.

Any word on whether or not Ayers/Lynam will be replaced?
