They can just slide Iguodala into the starting role and still be better than everyone out West

as much of a punk*** as he is, Draymond is still a top 3 defender in the league, and giving Steph Curry and Klay Thompson more shots doesn't seem like the worst thing in the world.

I still think the Warriors get to the finals even if KD is out for the year (which I also doubt is the case, he walked off and everything)

I hope they win the championship without him. Would there be a better way to expose his frontrunning?

Anyone else wonder if the Brett Brown / Spurs connection could lure him to play for us?

I'd rather have George Hill making good money than Lowry on a max deal.

Both are the exact type of player we need

ill be watching what Utah does pretty closely

George Hill is a tremendous fit with Simmons and Saric as an off-ball PG who can defend and shoot. Depending on the price, I'm very interested. I'd go up to 4 yrs/$80M. Would prefer that versus a max for Lowry. Not sure that will get it done though. I think the Jazz will do what it take to keep him.

My FA PG rankings (not considering what they will cost us - 1st 2 obviously are a pipedream):

1) Steph Curry
2) Chris Paul
3) Kyle Lowry
4) George Hill
5) Jrue Holiday
6) Jeff Teague
7) Patty Mills

I'd prefer to give him that $80million over 3 years. Gives us flexibility when Simmons and Saric are up for contracts. Plus I don't love committing 4 years to a soon to be 31 year old.

George Hill turned down an offer of 88.3M/3 years so I think he wants more.

Do you have a link for this?

I'm not really interested in giving this guy $30M/yr, even if for only 3 years. Rather find a cheaper short-term option instead, especially if we draft a PG like Fultz, Ball, etc.

It is in the wiretap article here in RealGM.

http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/245141/Jazz-Unable-To-Agree-Upon-Extension-With-George-Hill

The best offer Utah could make to Hill is for $88.3 million to be committed to the Jazz through the 2019-20 season, which computes to a three-year, $74.7 million extension plus $13.6 million this season.

I want to pick one of these guards and pay him whatever it takes over 2-3 years. If we draft a point guard, then make it a 2 like Reddick.

I think people are too concerned about blotting our pristine cap sheet. If you get a bunch of cheaper options and leave like $30 million in cap space on the table, you aren't being economical. You're leaving money on the table that every other team uses.

I'm stunned that Hill, at his age, thinks he can get a better deal than that on the open market. I would bet against it, even with all of the lunatic owners out there. Maybe he just wants to leave Utah?

Ugh, the contracts these PGs are going to get is going to be ridiculous. That Korkmaz pick continues to annoy me. Wish we would have just taken Isaiah Whitehead and had him locked into a rookie contract.

How far has Washington progressed? Do they have a shot in the east? Can Morrissey and Oubre make life miserable enough for LBJ to sneak some wins? Could be an interesting matchup.

John Wall, Bradley Beal, and especially Otto Porter Jr are all having fantastic seasons

No shot in the East IMO, not enough depth

They could probably go 6 games at most against Cleveland, assuming LeBron does his usual try one game, take the next off routine and Wall plays out of his mind

Anyone watching Portland / OKC on TNT?

Jusuf Nurkic can play

And to think, POR got Nurkic and a 1st for Mason Plumlee and a 2nd. While BC got 2nds, salary filler, and a flier on a mediocre prospect for Noel. With the rumors that were going around, kind of makes you think that maybe BC should've jumped on one of those potential Jah deals?

After Boston tonight, the Lakers have 4 very winnable games. NOP, DAL, PHX, and PHI. Tank game gets real starting Sunday.

Hollass was so close to being a quality back-up wing. If only he was just a little bit better on the defensive end. If only he played with a little more intensity.

Buddy Hield averaging 13.8 ppg in 26.5 minutes

shooting .421 from three on SAC

DeMarcus Cousins is still an A hole and the Pelicans havent won a game with him yet

maybe that Kings trade wasnt as awful as everyone made it out to be...

No no, it was.

Also Cousins is putting up absurd numbers so far in NO. And, it's not that the Boogie trade itself is so bad (even though it was) it was the 8 other "win now" moves that came before it that make the culmination so LOLtastic.

(Boogie's laziness on defense is the biggest issue above all else anyway. He's just not in good shape it doesn't seem like.)

Wish we had just signed Seth Curry - Colangelo complete **** the bed by going for Bayless and Sergio this offseason. I was all aboard the Curry train when he was with Sac last year and thought he was such an obvious upside signing for us. Of course, we sign two no upside veterans, one of which is given a 3 year deal after shooting 7+% over his career average from 3 last year.
jonjames is a signature bet welcher.

That Jazz/Sac game was tanktastic. I would not be surprised to see the Kings(Sixers) be in the top 3

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
