Re: The Playoffs Thread
Wouldn't any of you feel frustrated if you knew your team couldn't win a single playoff game without you playing your best? He was happiest when Butler was on the team, ie someone else to help carry the team with him down the stretch. We need to find that type of player for him again.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Misteclipse wrote:Some truly awful takes from Ferry Avenue. Not exactly surprising from the owner of The Process has Failed thread from a couple years ago. Embiid playing on a bum knee because he wants to win when anyone else would've shut it down to protect themselves for their next contract. Somehow the guy literally putting his health on the line for his team isn't a leader. The **** people come up with.
Any 7-footer who publicly blames a potential game-winning missed layup on his knee after he's played a whole game on it is overstating the injury, which then raises the question of how bad the injury really is and how it's functioning for him. This isn't the first year Embiid has publicly identified an ailment from which he's suffering in the playoffs.

The Sixers won by 17 points and clinched the series against Washington without Embiid playing at all, much less his best, less than two weeks before yesterday's game.

Atlanta >>> Washington Let's not forget to factor that in.
The Embiid hate is just so reactionary. It's like those people who hated on RoCo because he would shoot 7-11 one game and 1-11 the next. "Why can't he just shoot 4-11 every game?"

When a player looks like a corpse for an entire game during a championship run, something is off. The demeanor is so inconsistent with the situation that it’s highly noteworthy.

Why are you ignoring the injury ? Idk that seems like the main reason for him being a zombie.
And again add that on to his shot not falling.
He has a very good reason to not be in the highest spirits
Wtf

I still say it was one bad half for him. A partially...minor tear in a meniscus can be painful yes. But you can still play basketball with it. He may need it cleaned out after the playoffs, but it's not as big of a hindrance that people are making it out to be. Some of you are acting as if he's playing with torn ligaments. Embiid is proving to be one tough SOB. Teams are a lot more cautious these days. Almost overly cautious imo. I still say it was just one bad half.

Yep. Still a bad trade to this day. Maybe we can move past it this summer.
Gladly take Shamet back on the bench here.

Oh I was being serious. He couldn't beat Tucker off the dribble. He's just tall and can shoot good.
Anyway, the Bucks board is just the Sixers board if every poster was me.

I mean, I don't care HOW player creates his own shot. Durant got anything and everything he wanted in 4th. He is the best player in basketball right now, so that take was absolutely awful.

Re: The Playoffs Thread
Hard to say who is more pathetic.. us or the bucks
Both have a player completely useless and a huge liability late in games on max contracts
One of those 2 can atleast put up points before the last few min though.
Both teams win, they are equally pathetic

Wtf
Because he played the whole game on it, the injury must not be that bad, duh! The meniscus is famously not important and the pain is clearly fake. In fact, Embiid was point shaving due to delusions from his baby keeping him up all night (in Philly, despite him likely being in ATL the night before the game).
Any other questions this board can help you answer?

I hate this board. Y'all are mostly clowns that don't deserve good players.

Re: The Playoffs Thread
Of course Embiid was playing hurt but he was playing hurt the first three games as well. Lets not act like Embiid hasnt had very bad games in the playoffs before. Usually its at least against good defenders. But that first year again the Celtics he was probably bad 3 of the games. Then against Toronto the next year he was probably bad 3 of the games. Last year in the bubble he was bad a couple of games. So to sum it up while he obviously was dealing with pain I see no reason to just assume it was more pain then the first three games where he dominated. He took a lot of poor quality shots and got frustrated when he missed them and wasnt getting any foul calls and I feel like that had at least as much to do with the poor play as the injury. Maybe Im wrong but its no crazier then just giving him a free pass because of the injury which some seem to want to do.

Re: The Playoffs Thread
Embiid's knee wasnt hurting when he was chasing Young around the perimeter or euro stepping into the key. He had a crap 2nd half. It happens.
