Terquavion Smith was one of my favorite freshman to watch. One of the quickest triggers from three in the country and he got after it defensively. A lot of Bones Hyland to his game. Just have to worry about whether or not he's skilled enough to perform that role in the NBA level. If he's shooting like 32% from three, his team is going to tell him to stop shooting.

Just did a medium dive on Liddell. Might as well just take David Roddy in the second and save our first for a player that actually has a chance to stay in the league.

Outside of Chet, nobody seems to be talking much about the bigs in this class.

Between Duran, Kessler, and Williams, there are some elite shotblocking talent in this class.

I think the problem with Kessler is that my hands are probably bigger than his. Otherwise, his stats are pretty insane.

Williams is very intriguing.

Morey and Roseman need to work together here.

I want to see the Sixers schedule a private workout with each Kenny Loften and David Roddy and then be like jk, you guys are football players. Kenny, go do some pass block drills. David, go do some pass rush drills.

Duren has a long way to go, offensively, but he has the shotblocking, physique, and arm length to be a defensive terror.

Not to continue to harp on this too much, but Keon Ellis and Nembhard being at the end of the second round on Tankathon mock draft is really something to me.

Both are capable of, at minimum, providing effort on defense with C&S ability. Nembhard is still George Hill-esque to me.

Double edged sword.

Wendell Moore's lack of ego and scoring ambition makes him a easy cog to assimilate into a rotation. It also puts a limit on the singular impact he's capable of making on a team.

So what part of the draft is a good value for a guy like him? Feels like early 20s is a bit early and that's where he's being mocked.

Ellis' senior year, he was the perfect three and d specimen. Junior year, he was just a defensive specialist with no skill. I guess may be uneasy about what he truly is on offense.

I think it's hard to be a 37% from 3 and a 88% from FT (both on decent to great volume) shooter unless you’ve mastered shooting. I feel pretty good about his projection.

Yeah, I mean he's pretty much lesser Duarte. His defensive value will be immense. His shooting profile is very optimistic based off his last showing, but it was a trait unveiled at age 22 so there's always a small concern. He'll probably carve out a role similar to Reggie Bullock. Skinny, but effective roleplaying F that can compete on d and hit some shots.

I think TyTy is going to be staring us right in the face in this draft. Similar fall to Maxey.

Looking at their college numbers, George Hill was superior across the board barring AST. He was a much better scorer. He also has a longer wingspan. Nembhard's scoring numbers are Thybulle-level bad (17.9 PP100 for Nembhard vs 17.5 for Thybulle).

So I'd be surprised if he approaches Hill's level in the pros.

George also played at IUPUI. I think circumstances need to be taken into account here. If Nembhard stayed at Florida, I think he would have eventually become a more prolific scorer, but probably would not have had a chance at a championship. He went to Gonzaga where he was surrounded by NBA talent and already assumed the role player position.

I have no problem believing Nembhard could average 20ppg against Oral Roberts and Purdue-Ft Wayne if given a green light.

Bryce McGowens has to be the pick IMO.

In terms of pure scorers, he's one of the best and youngest in this entire class. Wouldn't be surprised if he's one of the few in this class that eventually becomes a 20+ ppg guy at the NBA level. Especially once he converts his 80%+ free throw shooting into a three point shot.

He's the no brainer pick we need to make, IMO.

Immediately gives us a stud bench scorer and he's a guy that we might be able to pair with Maxey to carry our future with.

They’re taking Smith not Holmgren.
