Don't hesitate to throw in Maxey into that deal. Let's be honest guys. He doesn't shoot or play defense. He's not that good. He would need to become a willing shooter to ever be a useful piece for us that fits well. Don't see that happening any time soon (especially since he's somehow shooting even less threes this year than he did last year).

I'd rather dump Matisse than Maxey. At least Maxey is showing signs of growth as a shooter, Tissot hasn't changed much like Ben.

You think teams value Thysse than Maxey, if they do then be my guest

Then the real problem with any Ben trade appears.
Morey asks for SGA, Giddey, Dort and as many Picks and Swaps as he can grab.

I think this board values SGA higher than the league does. I don't think the valuation in trade people are throwing out here is his actual value. If the trade happens I think there will be general surprise here as to how little it cost and the reddit NBA and casual fans will think Morey got schooled.

Personally I think he's worth including a good bit of draft capital and/or Maxey in addition to Simmons like a lot of you. That said, I think league wide Simmons and SGA would be considered similar value assets.

What is it going to take around here to get you to give up the Irving BS?

I am honestly serious. You're almost as bad as the other guy.

It makes sense. Harris 38 & 40 is saying the next two years are for sweet fa

If you think I’m bad as the other guy you have no clue. I’ve done well on my assessments

I believe the main problem with your assessment is actually getting Kyrie. I don't see a pathway to getting him at all, although I still don't oppose the idea, but getting him would be the equivalent of actually winning a trade, which is something this franchise is historically allergic to, sans Hinkie.

Harris does nothing for the Nets

They will want Voldemort and if that were to happen and he plays then good fkn luck because we’re no chance

Also need to consider the fact that Kyrie is a locker room cancer & totally unpredictable

Morey is right to prefer Harden

I don’t care whoever it is, but whoever it is has to be what we need on the court.

Very simple to win the trade.

Morey has been leaving the half eaten sandwich out for too long.

Listen, I share your enthusiasm, but winning the trade is anything BUT simple.

The court of public opinion is not on the side of the Sixers wining a Ben or Tobias trade. That same court will decide who wins any trade once it's completed. It's not as simple as it should be, and tbh I still don't understand the vitriol when it comes to Morey, like where was all this hate of him when he was first hired??

But suddenly Morey is washed up and can't even respectfully lose a Ben trade (as soon as he decides to pull the trigger) let alone trade his ass in the first place. At this point we could've hired Rich Paul as GM and the hate would still permeate because of the process, which people still haven't gotten over for whatever stupid reason, and at this stage, I doubt the media and fans opinions outside of this franchise will ever get over the process (even in spite of franchises now openly tanking with impunity)

No I like Morey we don’t know what’s going on in the background. Last thing I want is for Morey to just say I’ve had enough you are not letting me do my job to the owners/fo whatever.

Collateral hits in a lot of places.

We trade Ben or Harris for a bag of peanuts we win because at least the bag of peanuts is ready to go.

I'm just saying that by doing so, be prepared to LOSE in the court of public opinion no matter what. It's not about winning anymore with all the emotional idiots that exist.

I’ll add to that by saying Irving and Simmons are what we need on the court, but not in the locker room. A Kyrie/Simmons/Embiid trio would be the best in the NBA.

Kyrie/Maxey/Milton
Green/Curry/Springer
Thybulle/Korkmaz/Joe
Simmons/Niang/Reed
Embiid/Drummond/Bassey

Nope don't need dunker spot fraud on this team we already have pull up jumper fraud tobias. That's two frauds two many.

I don't know how many times I can say it without it sinking it- Kyrie Irving is ***** crazy* ... He's nuts. I mean he's a flat-earth, sage-burning dude who went from being all about pretending to be a Native-American to this year he has decided he's Muslim. Not that I care whatsoever. My point is, he's literally insane. He might wake up tomorrow and decide he needs to join the Black Hebrew Israelites and go scream at people on South Street. Walking around burning sage on the court to "honor his Native American heritage" ... my Mom was from Poland and my Dad's side came over from Ireland. Should I take a bottle of Chopin Vodka in one hand and a bottle of Jameson in the other and walk around lining the perimeter of the court with booze before games because I have to honor my heritage?!

Don't get me started on his vaccine "theories" ...

So we'd be trading for someone claiming Mental Illness injury for someone who is literally and figuratively insane.

I'm not sure how that seems legit to you.

We'd all prefer to trade Thybulle over Maxey. Trouble is I doubt Thybulle has any real trade value now. His offense has managed to regress from its already bottom quartile effectiveness. He treats the ball like a grenade out there on offense. It's true 4-5.

He's closer to being out of the rotation than an integral piece when we have a full roster.

For SGA; you offer Ben, Maxey, and Matisse as a starting point.

On another note... John Holiinger is the best

Lillard apparently said if he is traded, he wants to go to the Knicks. Strange for someone claiming he wants a ring to pick a big market over a potentially better team?

I'd be very cautious about trading for Dame. 31 and out with a lingering injury having a career worst year shooting 36.5% from the field and 25.5% from three and whining about the new rules multiple times.

If I'm Portland I'm at least thinking about trading Dame while his stock is high, instead of CJ.

Neither play and defense and neither will help the Sixers fwiw.
