That's not a new revelation. He's been a terrible offensive player ever since he stepped foot on an NBA court. The fancy post moves have always been seen as shallow, surface level appeal by us critics of him.

Anyone else think Okafor looks lost? I mean, he's not even doing some of those post moves/spins this year....looks like he's trying to make everything a floater.

I'm at the point that if we just cut Okafor getting nothing in return that would nkt bother me one bit. Just get him off the team. I don't care he has 3 more years under rookie contract. We can't even pay anyone to take him. All these fake high praise talk from coaches like Thibs is laughable. They wouldn't want him on their team. BC should call Thibs' bluff and say ok you said Okafor as good. Wha will youngive us for him. I bet Thibs wouldn't give anthhing.

I'm not excusing his poor play upto this point but some of these posts are ridiculous. I expect more of them once the realization sinks in that Noel will be moved.

Which if these posters were being truly honest is what this is about.

To be fair, no one even our quickest guards were able to stay in front of IT. Even Saric couldn't stop IT on that game tying lay-up.

Are we in a hurry?

I'm seeing improvement from jah on D this season. His rebounding has shown improvement in the last 2 games and he has the tools to be a solid rebounder. Offensively, he's trying to get more in the flow and stop being a ball stopper. He's setting better screens and being a better passer. He's too talented and skilled to not eventually be a positive player on offense. At the worst, he's our excuse to get Fultz this season.

Okafor is tough to watch so far this year.... He is either struggling to get into game shape or has lost a ton of confidence.

Sure he has always been frustrating on defense and on the glass, but at least at times last season you were wowed for stretches where he seemed to be un-guardable on offense. I haven't really seen that so far this season. He seems to rush & force his possessions and everything seems to be a 1 handed floater. He was improving his range prior to injury, and has shown little to none of that.

yeah i just watched the BOS game, little late, and was expecting just awful-okafor, sure there were some annoying moments, but I didn't think he played bad.

The team is trying to let him NOT be a ball stopper and instead be PART OF THE OFFENSE.

Once he learn that, he'll have better positive on court offense and higher TS%. It's just tough when you don't have a jumper, that's why you see most modern bigs being able to develop a jumper. And tonight was an example of it.

DFGA
Season: 10.8
Against Celtics: 20 (7 3PT DFGA; -7.6DFG% <6ft.)

He was actually quite mobile in challenging shots this game.

That's not breaking news. Every team does the same thing over and over and he can't do anything about it. At this point he knows what's coming, he's just incapable of doing anything about it.

On the flip side, these are the fourth more utilized lineups this season:

Everyone can draw their own conclusions.

I'm not an Okafor hater (not yet) but the guy has A TON to work to became a starting C in this League.
Furthermore, not having a perimetral game, he has to sustain unreal FG% to be an efficent offensive player.

Are you referring to DRtg?
