There's no one here who considers Morey above criticism, so I'm not sure who you're talking about.

I was referring to fans and media. "above criticism" isn't good enough. The man got a contract extension instead of being fired after the season. Too many people here think he's done a pretty good job the past 4 years.

Since we already have his "replacement" on the team, in a perfect world, trading Tobias for DeRozan, Drummond (and I guess Carter) would make sense for us. Bulls want to trade DeRozan but only if they can continue to be "a contender" (LOL). Maxey, DeRozan, Oubre, Batum, Embiid is a decent lineup; a lot of outside shooting along with a creator who is one of the best midrange shooters in the game. Backups would be Bev/Springer, Melton/Hield, Cov, Reed, and Drummond. Obviously all the defense is on second team, but it allows us flexibility to mess with the lineups.

The only problem would be how much draft capital would we expect them to demand?

I mean, he has done a pretty good job compared to the previous decisionmakers. At least previously I knew the moves they were doing were bad. When Morey makes moves, I understand them and just wait for it to play out with no expectations. It's been a mixed bag to be honest.

Morey is at least making moves. He's gotten rid of Eltons mistakes along with some of his own. If he was a genius he'd of already put together a Finals roster. He has yet to do that. People hating on Morey though were probably not around for the Billy King era. The same line every time after the deadline..."We tried to make moves, nothing was able to happen."

Agree. If we have Lowry locked in I'd seriously consider trading Bev if we could get something decent back.

Maxey, Melton, Hield, Lowry guard rotation is more than adequate.

He hasn't been any better than Brand or Colangelo. I honestly believe that, not trolling.

Assuming he doesn't have a debilitating injury I'd look at Joe Harris on the buyout market. His stats weren't awful last year and he's barely played this year so the bad stats could just be small sample size.
