I personally would be thrilled. On top of him being a good player and give us something we need, it gets us out of this nightmare Simmons situation.whatisacenter wrote:I came here expecting to see Sixers fans doing cartwheels at the prospect of landing Brown for Simmons. Just a rumor for now. We learned from the Harden non-trade and our general existence as Philadelphia sports fans to take all hope and bury it deep where you can never find it.
I would be beyond ecstatic for Jalen to be on this team. At that point the weakest link on the team is Maxey playing pointguard and that means we are in great shape. However, until I see Ben wearing that slime green, I ain't jumping for joy.

Other than the fact that Brown is an infinitely better offensive player than Simmons, yea don't know how that helps the Sixers.
but since y'all smoking that Morey, y'all expectations for a Simmons trade is way through the roof. I'm so tired of this saga, it's sad and embarrassing for Morey, the city of Philadelphia, Sixers fans, Simmons, and the NBA.
I would think Green would be ahead of Thybulle at least.stormi wrote:Maxey/Milton

Dose it look like the sixers need forward help right now,lol
thinking a point guard would be better.

Sure. Maybe a trade for an upgrade can be consolidated afterwards since we have so much depth.

I'm C's won't even do it because JB is the much better scorer, almost equal the defender, and way less the diva than Simmons. While Simmons, sure is the better PG, I guess? But C's fans won't even do it.
A real trade is from Boston is likely centered around Smart + picks ...but since y'all smoking that Morey, y'all expectations for a Simmons trade is way through the roof. I'm so tired of this saga, it's sad and embarrassing for Morey, the city of Philadelphia, Sixers fans, Simmons, and the NBA.
Agreed. If they trade for a non-point guard, I feel like they're short one as I feel like Shake is better suited at a secondary guard/SG. Of course a backup PG is a lot easier to get especially when they have the depth you mentioned.stormi wrote:zaz102 wrote:I would think Green would be ahead of Thybulle at least.stormi wrote:Maxey/Milton

I don't like Brown that much BUT getting to watch Simmons against the Sixers more times per year and having him have to deal with Boston fans after Philly's wrath does make me a little ok with this trade. Imagine that rivalry!

I see the news made it to the Celtics board and you knew this conversation was happening on the Sixers board, so you felt it absolutely necessary to come here and set the record straight. Pretty bleak stuff right there, my man.
