This. A bounceback from PG the first half of this upcoming season and he should be dumpable for shorter contracts. Some team will delude themselves into thinking he's the missing piece as long as his numbers look good and he's healthy.

Under THIS CBA??

Hey listen, I'm all for trading PG I just don't know who's taking that contract for 3 more years

The Wizards traded Jordan Poole for expiring CJ McCollum.

What would make me happy is to knock off the silly charade that Embiid is still a viable player and to admit that the George signing was a dreadful mistake by moving him before the trade deadline.

100% this. Just move on already.

I mean we can trade them be ass and give up lottery pick to OKC or keep them they get hurt and give a lottery pick to OKC or maybe they stay healthy enough to compete in a weak Eastern Conference.

I wonder if GG Jackson could be had and what the cost would be? If the price is right he could be worth a shot as a cheap young PF. He showed promise as a rookie and then mins dropped with Jackson, Edey, Aldama, and Clarke in the picture last year.

Oubre and 2 2nd’s for GG and Konchar?

Aldama got resigned for 3/52.5 which is 17.5, also teams that receive a player via sign and trade are hard capped at the first apron. I don’t think we can stay below the 1st apron bringing in a 17.5 mil contract.

When do both become trade eligible?

Well technically they can’t official sign until July 6 so we could so a double sign and trade. The issue however is we are too close to the first apron. I don’t think it’s possible for us to do any sign and trade. In season would be December 15 or January 15. I never quite learned why some are December vs January.

We really don't need to be making any moves until the trade deadline at this point. Our expirings aren't going anywhere, and might actually gain value as injuries, etc. create needs around the league. If something falls in our lap right now, fine, but otherwise let's just run with what we have.

Agreed. Morey has rebuilt some draft capital. I'm not sure what this team will even look like, let alone being sure they're worth pushing chips in for.
