Sure. Maybe a trade for an upgrade can be consolidated afterwards since we have so much depth.

There could be some consolidation or shuffling of deck chairs if we got this gift from god. Also there is no chance Harris is off the bench. I know, i know. We all want it this way but it aint happening.
If we trade Simmons for a forward, does it make sense to try and trade for a more 3&D/lower usage starting wing and a decent backup PG.

Not sure of any trades would make sense, but that seems like it would fill out the roster nicely and might be possible if a team needs an upgrade like Harris.

none of us fans know what their team will or won't do.

I cannot stand fans of other teams coming in and acting like mouthpieces for their team. YOU wouldn't do it. Doesn't mean the team wouldn't. Teams do dumb **** all the time. No one had the Lakers trading for Westbrook. Then it happened. No one thought the Raptors could get Kawhii...they did.

Stop acting like you are running the team pls.

sorry pet peeve of mind.

Ideally, you would want the starter version of Georges and a backup PG. I think Seth is fine in a starting role until he gets hunted in the playoffs and then you can replace him with Shake, Thybulle or Green depending on matchups (and who is left on the roster at playoff time). Unfortunately, Harris is unmoveable for at least another season and like you, I'm not exactly looking around for what those trades could be.

A real trade is from Boston is likely centered around Smart + picks ... but since y'all smoking that Morey, y'all expectations for a Simmons trade is way through the roof. I'm so tired of this saga, it's sad and embarrassing for Morey, the city of Philadelphia, Sixers fans, Simmons, and the NBA.

I see the news made it to the Celtics board and you knew this conversation was happening on the Sixers board, so you felt it absolutely necessary to come here and set the record straight. Pretty bleak stuff right there, my man.

I see I know how to use this website and went to the team forum where the conversation was happening.

You mad about that? Cry more.

True Boston form: start an unnecessary fight in an otherwise normal conversation and then cry a lot, then claim others are crying.

I'm not even a BOSTON fan. Never lived there. No affiliation. I'm an NBA fan who clearly thinks all sides of the 76ers are in the wrong here, fans, players, and organization. Do you live above opinion and criticism on A SPORTS OPINION FORUM? I came here ON-TOPIC, and talking about the basketball situation at hand and meanwhile, you came at me personally. Lmao, next time try responding the TOPIC.

you ran into a sixers board; telling sixers fans that this trade that they also probably don't think is legit will never ever happen and that the best they can get is Smart and trash...and expected that to go over well?

like use your brain lol.

Right?

I actually went back a couple pages to see if I missed something and.....nope. I saw a Celtics fan ask what they would have to add to Brown to get Simmons and get told "uhhhh, nothing" and then somebody come in to tell us how crazy we are for.....linking a Shams article I guess?

So your "OPINION" is that EVERY SINGLE OPINION (all sides of the 76ers fanbase, players, and organization) are wrong? And you're bringing that up on message board where we all have OPINIONS?

So if EVERY opinion is wrong. Then why even be on a place that discusses opinions?

the moment someone runs to "i am just having an opinion bro" is the moment you know they in fact aren't here to just share opinions.

The raps spurs trade made sense was Leonard was going to his final year and made it know he wasn’t going to resign

Spurs handicap at that time

If Simmons had one year left. Sure. Dump him off for 20 cents if he indicated he wasn’t going to resign

Raptors were either going to rebuild soon with derozan and Lowry taken them as far as they could (1 seed got swept by Lebron in 2018)

So spurs got 70 cents on the dollar with the demar/poetl trade. Which wasn’t bad for an expiring.

Daryl Morey sounds more like a disgruntled plantation owner each passing day...

I think the thing in this whole that probably isn't very likely is that MARCUS SMART was the center of the offer the Celtics initially reached out for. Marcus Smart can not be traded until mid-January I believe due to when his extension was signed. So I think it unlikely there was a "So yea. Here's a trade we can make with you in another 2 and 1/2 months."

Lol, thanks for staying on topic, Mr President. My brain is in a bit of a haze because I've been "smoking that Morey" and going through extreme bouts of depression and embarrassment over the Ben Simmons situation.

I don't care about your specific opinion; it's clear you're here to bait and antagonize. I care about the people who want to have a normal discussion in good faith.

The celtics are a dumpster fire, and that lockeroom isn't great.

I don't like jaylen brown at all,the only good thing about him is that he isn't on a max contract.

Who knows who Brad Stevens is willing to trade now that he's running the show.

If it was still Ainge, he'd offer Langford and a 2nd and act like he's doing you a favor.

I didn't even think of that. Adding Ben to that would finalize them being ghosts of Sixers past: missed Tatum for Fultz, signed Horford for a billion dollars, traded Jimmy Butler for J-Rich, our stubborn mule of a first overall pick in Ben.
