Btw, Podz would be a great replacement for Poole to the Warriors

I have literally no idea how good these guys are, but hey they have fun names to say.

Our original second rounder would have been 58, so looks like Morey got busy recruiting guys he liked in that range.

Teams get their two-way players in the new CBA, correct?

Hopefully they offer Louis King a Hinkie special deal to be the new Shake.

Council is realistically the only one out of these three who will have a chance. Tubelis has a short wingspan and is too slow footed on defense. Smith is too thin and is a volume three pt chucker. If Council can get consistency on his threes, then the sky is the limit. He finishes remarkably well with either hand. Shot 80% from FT at one point. Very intriguing prospect.

Also: Marcus Bagley on Exhibit 10 deal. Dude busted his college career so hard lol.

Council seems like the type the Raptors would develop into a rotation player after a couple years. That's an interesting pickup.

Memphis drafting Sasser above his mocked position makes me certain he’ll be a success now. Perfect organizational fit for him & they don’t miss on prospect over there.

I’m ok with our undrafted haul. We should at least have a fun summer league team now.

Edit - nvm looks like Sasser is headed to Detroit lol sucks for him

Not understanding why they didn't buy a pick. Josh had to buy a new helicopter or something?

I think part of the reason why we didn't participate is because of what our GLeague guys showed us. I personally think Springer, Mac, and Louis King have a shot at making the team. Council went undrafted, but he's a 6'5 guard that has a chance to carve out a career. Yeah we didn't get in on the draft, but I think we're still going to see a shot of youth next season. Springer will basically be a rookie. Would have been fun to get in on it though. Cam Whitmore was the guy I wanted.

I'm not super inspired by the guys we brought in.

Council and Smith were terribly inefficient throughout their career. The odds of either of them being a positively impactful pro are slim IMO. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll somehow be more efficient in the pros (like Bruce Brown), but that's a long shot.

Tubelis is a really good player with some nice skills, but he has serious physical limitations regarding his length and athleticism.

They are some decent names with pedigree & an NBA-caliber trait. Gotta see if Rico Hines & the new staff have better luck developing talent than we’ve had in the past.

At least we don't need to sign Fred Vanvleet now.

Because Terquavion Smith will fill the 6 for 16 from the field spot.

Best to not use up a roster spot on a meh Second round pick.

We signed 3 two-way deals.

Does that mean we have to sign MacClung and King to actual full NBA contracts?

I think Louis King gets an actual contract taking either Niang or McDaniels roster spot.

It looks like the flexibility of a 2-way contract was valued over buying a pick to have a guy on a minimum deal. Given that the guys they snapped up were widely mocked in the mid/late-2nd, I can see how that could be the case

Tubelis can take over Petrusev's spot as our overseas stashed stretch-4, in the illustrious tradition of guys like Filip and Bolden and Saric before that.

Having never heard of Ricky Council before this post... I thought RICKY COUNCIL was a name for the everyone involved in the Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast.

But apparently they call themselves Team Ricky: https://www.rightstorickysanchez.com/about

If that name does not immediately change to The Ricky Council I will be very disappointed.
