Ramon Shelbourne said Butler is not the Sixers top target because of the money and trade compensation they’d have to give up. So each insider is saying a different top name is not one of their top targets. Someone’s gotta be wrong, all the smoke right now is hard to cut through.

OG Anunoby and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope wouldn't be the worst offseason. We'd still have a great starting lineup.

Especially if we get to keep our picks and add a mid-first round talent at #16.

Yea, I would be thrilled with this outcome.

Saw tweets that suggest we’re a front runner for Naji Marshall, which I’m 100% on board with.

OG and KCP would fit the 3s and defense we been rumored to want. Would definitely help embiid not have to protect the rim so much. Doesn’t really help the secondary ball handler, playmaker situation tho.

Sign DeRozan and trade 16 for Grant.

I’m genuinely starting to believe that we are ending up with DDR + depth. We’re not getting George, Butler is too expensive, and Ingram might be too. Grab Demar and use some combo of cap space & draft picks to build a complete roster.

I still think Morey is going to chase the biggest names/stars, but whoever they end up with, if it's not a needle mover and they did a soft punt on a season and held back at the trade deadline to come away with that, that's such an organizational embarrassment. I can't imagine Embiid would be too thrilled either.

The thing I like about Derozan is you can add him for the short term and not compromise your future OR lose the draft picks that we have. So yeah...Sign Derozan, explore the trade market, fill out the roster, keep our draft picks in this draft.

Last season was supposed to be a transitional season for us and look at where we were prior to Embiid getting shelved. Now I don't think we would have gotten by Boston, but even in a punt season with Maxey and Embiid we were damn close to being Finals material. I don't see how all of this needs to be completed this summer. We have two big time building blocks with Embiid and Maxey. Health has been our biggest issue. You fill out the roster correctly around those two and you might be surprised at how good we actually are.

Whatever we do, I just hope Joel is on board. Idk how much more patient he would be if he doesn’t see the offseason as a success.

Hope so, I’ve obviously been on board with getting him for some time. I think he fits like a glove with Maxey and Embiid and adds leadership + hunger for a championship that we haven’t really seen.

I wouldn't count out Jerami Grant for us either. I'm pretty sure Portland will move both him and Brogdan and there's no reason to believe that we can't be involved with Portland in a deal involving either of them. I'd personally rather have Grant and I think we can get him for Paul Reed, and some future firsts. Same with Brogdan who I like despite being injury prone.

I wonder if we can wind up bringing Melton back on a 1 year deal in wave 3 of free agency.

Doesn't Melton have a broken back? Those don't heal the best.

Hope we can get him at a decent price, seems like a very usefull player. Still young, athletic, active on passing lanes, can drive a bit, ...

Plays like and at same position as Kelly, so that means he could be gone? Or we have 2 profiles like that, won't be bad either.

Keep Kelly for sure (maybe if you get OG, but still try to keep him). MLE maybe

Evaluate Melton for a prove it deal or find a suitable replacement.

Try to keep Buddy for cheap. His playoff issues were Nurse related and were solved in game 6

Just sign DDR

Batum and Lowry

All deals must be quality enough to be tradable

Maybe try to use those picks to get my guy DJM at deadline.

Crap, I was just about to make a thought provoking post but I guess it can wait.
