Disgraceful tanking by Pels. They should have won last night.

No more disgraceful than any other tanking, other than perhaps Utah. I mean, it's no secret everyone is trying to lose. The whole thing is a big joke on d-bag Silver because there's not a damn thing he can do about it other than issue the occasional fine.

Today would go a long way to feeling better we don't end up in a tie with Brooklyn. They are not going to win another game.

We need a hail Mary from New Orleans which don't see happening. Brooklyn is two games ahead of us. It looks like the 5th worst is the best we can do.

Who are you rooting for?

We're really doing a great job at this. Winning? Maybe not so great at that. But once we committed to the tank... 3-27 is impressive. Keep in mind that the individual players are all trying to win. They're trying to get their own contracts and careers, after all. But due to our long-term expertise, we manage to make the whole far less than the sum of the parts. We come together to come apart.

They might. Pels-Nets are both trying to lose. Should be a good (bad) game. Atlanta and Minnesota are both trying to win. A lot would have to go wrong on both sides for the Nets to win either of those. But the last game of the season... Knicks are locked into their seed. They won't be actively trying to lose like the Nets, but they won't care about winning their last game, either. Probably no starters on either side.

Our 3 games... Washington isn't trying to win, but they aren't tanking as hard as us right now. With 4 players within 2 games of each other in the East conference play-in, there is a very good chance that both Atlanta and Chicago are trying to win right up until the last day of the season. If so, that will be near auto-losses for us.

Short version... our "best" record is 24-58. The Nets' "worst" is 25-57. We are safe, as long as we don't end up winning one of those 'unwinnable' Atlanta or Chicago games.

Chances of us tying Pels are really slim. Virtually zero of finishing beneath them. But they could beat both the Nets and then the Thunder on the last day of the season. (Thunder can't hit 70 wins anymore, so they might not even play their starters.) They would have to win both while we drop all 3. The Pels' other two games are Bucks and Heat, who will both be trying to win.

Considering how hard the players and Nurse were trying to ruin the tank, it prevailed. Another credit you Morey. Sitting both George and Maxey with Pinky injuries, resting Grimes in key contests. 5th s scary and unnecessary, considering the tank could've started earlier, but they persevered and 5 is respectable. Considering they also developed Edwards and of course discovered what they have with Grimes

It's a Pels must win. If the Pels lose, Sixers are essentially locked into the 5th spot barring some absurd miracle or catastrophe.

I’m greedy so voting for NOP. I think we’ll keep losing as well, so not overly concerned about us passing Brooklyn. That game and our game vs Washington are the two biggest games left.

Looks like 5th best odds it is. I'll take it, all things considered.

Could you imagine watching that Pelicans be Nets game? Must have been the worst basketball the NBA has ever seen.

5th is a good outcome for the season. We can bemoan beating the Warriors and other things, but we also got “lucky” Embiid shoved Hayes and got 3 games and pushed back his season debut.

In my mind 5th gives them a 50-50 chance. Better than 6th or 7th. But given they're the only tanking team that would lose their pick at 6th or so... The plug should've been pulled with Jared

Why are we beating Washington? Everybody should be on the bench.

Can't lose em all. Highly unlikely that this will affect us in the standings so I'm not mad.

One more loss for the 5th spot.

Odds favor retaining the pick.

Heart breaking win tonight.

Lets get it together and finish the season strong with a couple more Ls.
