The fact is, once Embiid got healthy, it was just a matter of time before Noel and jah are gone or become bench players. In the same way that Grant's days were numbered once Simmons was drafted and Saric joined the team.

It's not that unusual. 2 years after AI was drafted, every player and coach on the team that preceded him was gone. Embiid is that guy now, so expect the roster to be remade to fit him and Simmons. And if they don't fit as well as expected, expect Simmons to be moved for a valuable piece just like how Stackhouse went from the man to a trading piece.

Yeah, that won't happen. Simmons best quality is his position less ability and that he can be your best or second best player while scoring 15 or less a game. Not so much with Stackhouse lol. They are the frontcourt of the future. Period.

As I said, if they don't fit as well as expected.

They should fit. But if push comes to shove, Embiid is the higher level prospect. Simmons has a hole in his game that he needs to fix. Embiid does not.

I agree. If they are the 4/5 combo, who is the best fit at SF? Leonard hands down, I think. What would be the next tier?
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

Seems like Noel has always been a problem, it's just been kept under wraps. See ya, dude.

That stuff has been said about him since Kentucky, but when he was trashing the place he rented a while back, not much was said.

Great character guy the Sixers drafted, wonder who is next??

Come back Noel. We need you. We will match any offer. Just don't leave.

Never heard that Nerlens was actually proved guilty for being responsible, can you give me a link? I can't judge his work ethic during training sessions but the guy was an absolute terror on the defensive end in actual games, part of it was due to his energy.

I'm willing to wait with my judgement until Noel actually returns and gets playing time. Unlike others I'm more interested in the Noel/Embiid pairing than Okafor/Embiid due to Okafor's inability to defend the P&R and poor help defense.

I can't recall one negative that was said about Noel at Kentucky. If anything, he's the reason we even went to the NIT that season.

Trashing a rental property as a 21 year old is not a character flaw. It is a maturity issue.

To me, the biggest issue off the court with him is the kid he fathered, but that is sadly extremely common place. I put that down to character personally, but much of society doesn't.

As professional athletes go, he is on the positive side of the ledger for sure. A good kid, and a good teammate.

.

Not sure if it came out right, I remember another article written about him as well, not a horrible guy but not perfect either. Wasn't it him that's missed his own basketball camp as well? Or a day of it?

According to Stein

The Raptors are among the teams that have expressed interest in Philadelphia's very available Nerlens Noel, but sources say Toronto's initial preference in the wake of losing Jared Sullinger (foot) to injury is to give more minutes to various younger players (such as rookies Pascal Siakam and Jakob Poeltl) so they get first crack at filling the void.

Masai=Hinkie, Colangelo=Divac.

Bet Colangelo has his eyes on Terrence Ross. Talked him up a lot when he was discussing his track record as a GM.

The good news is: "among the teams", so maybe Noel has some market after all.

When Colangelo starts, the deal fever takes over.

BC should ask for Delon Wright and Ross back. I don't want to trade Nerlens. That's why I'm asking for more. I want the sixers and Noel to make amends.

Unfortunately under the circumstances (Noel not being able to play), I bet is more of the vultures coming out to play rather than legitimate offers for Noel.

Knowing Ainge, one of his minions will start a rumor that Boston offered James Young and two 2nd rounders for Nerlens, and then Boston fans will be wondering why the deal got turned down.

Nothing too appealing on the Raps TBH. Would require a 3rd team to make it work IMO.

For that to be possible, Jah would need to be traded...which seems difficult at the moment. However, if anything good came from the Noel injury (in addition to Simmon's), it's that Jah can be showcased for a trade if they indeed prefer to keep Noel. There's been plenty of speculation that Noel is more likely to be traded, but no one outside the front office truly knows what they intend to do with Jah/Noel.
