I disagree. I think in the 90s and 2000s, you couldn't have enough of those guys.
I'm today's game, if you can't put points on the board, you get dusted.
With Zhaire and Matisse in our top 8, we're losing the math battle.

I mean Zhaire flashed shooting ability. If Thybulle can make spot up 3’s, both will make plays in transition and can defend.
Run them with Embiid/Butler or Simmons at times, and bring in some scoring/shooting at the PG spot along with a Stretch 4 and think it can be a decent unit.

Terence Davis satiates shooting, defense, athleticism, and scoring without trading up. You can have it both ways. That's the whole point of why this is stupid.
That's your evaluation, I don't agree with it personally. Not a huge fan of Davis. Not in the 20's.

Re: 2019 NBA Draft
Continuing to look at how it matches up with the mock drafts... through pick 29
Top ten is almost unanimous among all 5, but order differs on 4-10
1. Zion
2. Ja
3. RJ
4-10. Darius Garland, Coby White, DeAndre Hunter, Jarrett Culver, Cam Reddish, Jaxson Hayes, Sekou Doumbouya (15)
(One draft has Doumbouya at 11 instead of in the top 10.)
Then things diverge. Below is everyone who made the top 34 in any of the four mock drafts, and their slots in each one.
First, 8 players that everyone agrees will be off the board before the Sixers' #24 selection:
25. Nassir Little: 11, 15, 13, 13, 12
12. PJ Washington: 12, 13, 18, 16, 17
9. Rui Hachimura: 13, 18, 11, 11, 13
13. Tyler Herro: 14, 21, 21, 15, 14
14. Romeo Langford: 15, 16, 17, 22, 16
18. Goga Bitadze: 17, 14, 12, 19, 22
21. Brandon Clarke: 18, 11, 14, 14, 10
Bol Bol: 20, 12, 20, 20, 21
Then 11 players who may or may not be there depending on which list you consult. Pick your top 6 from this list. The Sixers can get one of those players. Ordered by how many mock drafts say the player will still be available:
29. (1/5) Keldon Johnson: 16, 19, 28, 18, 20
17. (1/5) Nickeil Alexander-Walker: 26, 17, 16, 12, 15
20. (2/5) Matisse Thybulle: 23, 25, 22, 48, 23 WELCOME TO THE SIXERS!
11. (2/5) Cam Johnson: 32, 22, 24, 21, 18
27. (3/5) Mfiondu Kabengele: 22, 26, -, 27, 19 (draftsite.com forgot Kabengele completely?)
(3/5) Kevin Porter: 30, 20, 15, 30, 24
22. (3/5) Grant Williams: 36, 24, 19, 17, 27
(4/5) Bruno Fernando: 19, 28, 35, 26, 30
(4/5) Eric Paschall: 21, 40, -, 41, 35
(4/5) KZ Okpala: 25, 27, 23, 25, 28
16. (4/5) Chuma Okeke: 27, 36, 26, 23, 39
19. (4/5) Luka Samanic: 29, 23, 27, 32, 29
And then 11 players where all 5 say they will be available at #24, but at least one mock draft has them taken #34 or earlier:
24. Ty Jerome: 24, 30, 32, 29, 25
26. Dylan Windler: 28, 34, 34, 28, 32
23. Darius Bazley: 31, 31, 33, 50, 38
Carsen Edwards: 33, 33, 31, 31, 37
Nicolas Claxton: 34, 29, 25, 43, 26
Daniel Gafford: 35, 37, 47, 34, 34
Luguentz Dort: 39, 32, 36, 24, 33
Talen Horton-Tucker: 51, 35, 30, 38, 36
Tacko Fall: 54, 55, 48, 33, 56
Deividas Sirvydis: -, 41, 29, -, 41
Admiral Schofield: -, 44, -, 35, 31
28. Jordan Poole (not in top 34 for any of the mock drafts)

If the Sixers run it back with JJ, Butler and Tobias, scoring is not going to be a problem. Brown will have to figure out how to stagger the scorers in the lineups, but there's enough scoring. Philly is trying to fix its biggest problem from last year which was guarding live dribble players like Dinwiddie.

so yeah.
Defense was the bigger weakness of the team this past season, it isn't even close. How many guards ate us alive during the season? Like I said, address one skill set at a time. We have more picks and free agency.

That's fine, but you can objectively say that he's athletic. You can also objectively say that he does a lot more on offense than Thybulle.
You can argue if he's solid on defense.

Yes because "messageboard gm's" obviously know way more than folks who have been In the game for several years right?
