Did you read the article? Sixers got to Philly at 6 am, so everything was delayed. They only have an update because they had to. I believe they're still evaluating. Also Kyle said his source feels like the knee can be managed.

You can read articles all day dude. You yourself said that you hate the vagueness of the actual report (as do I). I'm personally on edge about this because the team has flat out lied to us in the past. I swear I have PTSD from the the Andrew Bynum debacle. Then they dragged ass with Noel his first year, then it was Embiid for two years, then Simmons, and then they added a **** flavored cherry on top of a **** sundae with the Fultz injuries/rumors/(WTF is going) for almost two more years. Dude...some of us are absolutely shell shocked like in the arcade Ninja Turtles game. The truth is, I don't believe a word that this team reports until I see it on the floor or it's broken open by Woj. It's simply not fair to us as fans.

Woj also says there is optimism and that this does not seem to be a long term thing. Don't think Woj would be saying this if they thought it was serious.

I agree, this organization has been horrible through the years (since Bynum) in being transparent with injuries. I'd rather look at this with a glass full approach. It's fine if you want to be pessimistic (or some would say realistic) about it, I can't blame you. Everything in the past says that we need to be worried. Hopefully with Morey there is a little more transparency. Only time will tell though.

"The knee can be managed" that sounds terrible imo. If he was ok they'd flat out just say it at this point. The fact that they need a second opinion(further testing) is most likely because they didn't like what the first MRI showed

Woj's seems a little more optimistic. I agree, if it's something where he won't be 100% eventually in the playoffs that'll suck.

Where did they say they needed a second opinion or further testing? That hasn't been written anywhere. All they said is that they'll continue to evaluate him (that's super vague too), but it never said second opinion. Listening to Woj, he did say there's more testing to be done. I guess that could mean just seeing how he feels in the next day or two, and how he responds to therapy.

I'm not trying to be pessimistic at all. I just feel like the kid whose dad says he's going to come pick him up for the weekend and then never shows, but if Woj says it's nothing to really fret over, then i'm cool with that. Like I said, I hope New York can extend that series with Atlanta. I also hope we can close this bastard Washington team out tomorrow night without Embiid. I mean, we should be able to do it without him. My God, Bradley Beal and his sneering too cool for school A hole smile got on my nerves last night. We need to finish those bums and get Jo some rest.

Haha agreed. If the Atlanta series get's extended does that give us more time? I thought regardless the series starts at the same time (after the scheduled 7th game). How does that owrk?

Exactly. They didn't come out and say the mri is clean, so there was something there.. what is it?

The knee can be managed...aka if embiid plays he might be restricted to a jump shooter and a traffic cone on D.

That's where my mind is. Not encouraging.

Oh, I don't know...Good question on that. I know it wouldn't be too far off of a regular start. Maybe I'm overthinking that one.

Embiid was finally able to unleash this series. All
His moves. Now he’s injured

We saw how tentative he was coming back from the bone bruise especially with the knee brace.

We don’t have time in the playoffs for him to get rolling again.

I think the Sixers organization feels like they can win game 5 at home and the second round doesn’t start till June 6 at the earliest.

I'm not 100% sure where I seen that at because I've been searching every single credible article looking for any info but it was said and they are doing further testing.

Yeah the Woj twitter video said it at the end. I think it's vague for sure. Not great, not horrible. The fact he is doubtful and not out is a good sign. The fact that it's not clear what it isn't great. We'll see I guess. Next 24 hours will suck.

Man this is very depressing. We need Joel at 100% to be a contender. Plus he was really starting to look like the best player in the league.

Its seems like in the best case scenario if the knee is "manageable", we will have him at 70/80%. Its not going to be enough.

If embid isn’t back by the second round then we are toast. That’s just what it boils down too. Embid has to be back at 95-100 percent by the second round. If he’s limited in any way then we are no longer contenders. We’ll likely get to the ECF but lose fa sure. This shot sucks so bad man the perfect season, perfect start to the playoffs and then lose the MVP to injury. Got damn man I’m so depressed!

Lol, you are really getting ahead of yourself. So far the news has been positive. The bigger question is when he returns, which should be hopefully for the start of the 2nd round (if we get it done tomorrow), is what version of Joel will we be seing.

The issue with Ben and Jojo’s fit is not when both are on the same court. It’s when one of them is not on the same court.

Biid has to play with someone who can be alpha on offense when he’s not playing.

We’ve been trying to find the perfect back-up C for Biid. Back-up C is not the problem.

The problem has always been we have no one who can lead the 2nd unit on offense.

You can’t be a championship team if you can’t beat the Wiz without Embiid. We all know their roster is flawed.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I heard a good point made the other day about us playing without Embiid. Losing him in that game was unexpected, it took everyone by surprise....(well sort of), but it threw off the game plan and we were forced to adjust in game. Doc will have a different approach tonight and it should work. Look for us to get up and down the floor quickly, look for Ben to really dictate the pace and get guys involved. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Green and Curry have big games. Hopefully we hear more on Embiid by this afternoon.
