Boston
Miami
Milwaukee
Brooklyn
Toronto
Are definitely better
It's not necessarily that bad. Even last year the 4-6 seeds were close.
Toronto might be worse. Gasol, Ibaka, FVV are free agents. Lowry is year older.
Miami is overrated because they were surprisingly good in the bubble. They were still the 5th seed and i think that is more indicative of their real strength.
Milwaukee will be better.
I dont trust the Nets without Harden. No leader, no playmaker, players that will play just for their contracts, rookie coach etc. I think they will disappoint.
The Celtics will probably be similar to last year, maybe a little bit better.
You could also put Indiana among these teams.
If the Sixers trade Horford for better fits and get some guard that can do something in the half court they dont look too bad (50-55 wins) in the East. But is is likely not enough for being real contenders, unless there is a significant improvement from Simmons/Embiid.
