Bench offense is pretty rough but gotta see they're playing a full 100% bench unit--we're basically never gonna see Jackson/McCain/RCIV/Martin/Yabu lineups and these guys are playing ALL of their minutes together tonight. In real games 2 of the SL will be out there to run offense through, and one of PG/Maxey/Embiid for sure.

This wasn't real basketball but one little thing I didn't love was Caleb's and Oubre's fit with Maxey and PG. They both have good handles and have a tendency to hold the ball on swings rather than immediately get up a shot. Guess the simple fix is to drill them on attacking the closeout right away and keeping the ball moving around, but I don't know if we're built to make that super effective. They both seem maybe more talented than they are useful for the first unit.

It’s largely due to the Wolves’ defense and the absence of Embiid. We can’t create mismatches because the Wolves can switch on almost every matchup during weave actions. In these situations, I can see Nurse opting for a two guard lineup, like a Reggie Jackson-Maxey duo in the backcourt. That’s probably why Caleb Martin was left with the second unit in the first quarter leading a lot of two small but thick guards backcourt afterward

We lose this game because i wasn’t able to pray for every shot our team took during the technical difficulties.

I thought we were getting into the lane okay (though it was awkward looking), I was saying that Martin and Oubre weren't looking ideal getting the ball on kickouts from those drives. Neither of them is a natural catch-shoot spacer and both were tempted to slow it down and take their guy off the bounce instead of shooting or attacking immediately.

Nice showing. It feels like we have most of the championship ingredients. We still need someone who's going to make life somewhat difficult for Giannis/Tatum/Siakam/Butler and we'll have an edge over everyone.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Barlow/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

I'm looking at Isaiah Stewart at the trade deadline. He'd give us the size, toughness and enough 3 point shooting, to compete in the playoffs. Gotta figure out how to matchup the salaries to get to 15 million. KJ Martin, Jared McCain and one of those minimum Vets.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

He’s an interesting target. My dream is McCain+ for Eason, which can happen now.

Kuminga in a KJ trade might work later too.

I don't see McCain getting anyone of use on his own. He's purely salary filler at this point.

I'd love to get Kuminga, but I don't know that we could afford him, both from a trade asset perspective and future Salary Cap perspective.
The problem with Kuminga is he probably doesn't improve you enough to win the Championship this year, and he will probably be so expensive that we can't afford him (2nd apron) the next 4 years.

Bodner and Neubeck seem frustrated and mildly concerned. Just so annoying that this **** is starting before the season even begins. Usually we get 40-60 games of happy thoughts before reality sets in.

It may be nothing, but given how they act with this ****, I wouldn't be surprised if something is going on. Watch the clip on the pod I linked if think I'm wrong. Even reputed Sixers journalists have their doubst. I'm not making this up lol, people are legit starting to get worried.
