He is looking for $15 million or more a season, we have no matching salaries or cap room.

We don't have a 12 mil mle and Melton 8mil and Korkmaz 5mil to trade with ?

We don’t have room for the non taxpayer MLE at this point and I doubt Melton gets moved until we see what Springer brings to the regular season, if at all. Rumors are he wants more than the MLE, how much more I don’t know.

Well ProcessDr since you're the OP and you're keen on this type of trade scenario thing, what are your thoughts on this to land Dame without losing Maxey?

LAC out: Mann, Powell, Covington, Batum, 2028 1st, 2030 1st
LAC in: Harden, Tucker, Thybulle

Por out: Lillard, Thybulle
Por in: Harris, Batum, Mann, 2028 LAC 1st, 2030 LAC 1st, 2028 PHI 2nd, 2029 PHI 1st, 2029 PHI 2nd via POR

PHI out: Harden, Harris, Tucker, 2028 2nd, 2029 1st, 2029 2nd via POR
PHI in: Lillard, Powell, Covington

Maxey/Melton/Beverley
Lillard/Springer/Korkmaz
Powell/House
Covington/Reed/Petrusev
Embiid/Bamba FA or Wood FA??

I'll reiterate, I'm unwilling to give up Maxey and couldn't vote maybe, but pairing Dame with Embiid is a years long dream of mine. We won't get Dame in the end and I guess time has run out so we're running it back with Harden anyway.

Dropping Dimes says Dame to Miami has been agreed upon but will have to wait until a certain date. Insinuation is their pick (JJJ) can’t be traded until that date then Dame happens.

Terrance Ross would be a crazy pick up. Microwave scorer, ,6'7.

A backup center that’s under the age of 50? And he can shoot, dunk, and block shots? On the Sixers? Feels too good to be true.

I'll gladly take a second round exit and a clean slate next summer, thank you very much.

I don't buy it.

Their packages are trash unless people believe JJJ is some elite prospect and he's not. I doubt GM's will be swayed by a handful of summer league games.

Woke up today hoping a Clips trade materializes. Harden/Tucker for Mann/Powell/Covington/Morris/one-two 1sts. They save $10 mil this year and finally get a legit point guard.

Maxey/Melton/Beverley
Powell/Springer/Korkmaz
Mann/Covington/House
Harris/Morris/Petrusev
Embiid/Reed/Mamba

Only contracts remaining next summer: Maxey (RFA), Powell, Mann, Petrusev (?), Embiid, and Reed (?).

Potential max slot targets next summer: LeBron (PO), Kawhi (PO), George (PO), Brown, Siakam, and AD (PO).
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards
Watford/Barlow/Walker
Embiid/Drummond/Bona/Broome

I'd rather just hold onto Harden than take that deal.

I still personally think the Knicks make the most sense they need a big name to market to their fanbase. They have picks. They have rj barrett who would fill a massive need for us that they seem to be down on right now.

They are probably going after Dame too

Weird it was from the apparent guy who knew a guy that was a source.

It's basically a video from Windy. Here it is posted from Sean Barnard.

Windy teasing the Sixers could enter the deal zone once again…"

Can we nip in the bud this business of calling Jaquez JJJ? There are no other Jaquez’s in the NBA, and it’s not that hard to type :D

Touché. Agreed and there is already a JJJ in the NbA.

I would not be surprised at this point if we start the season running it back after re-signing Bball Paul, adding one more external FA on a one year deal and then signing a young guy to fill that 14th spot on a non or partial guaranteed three year deal. We likely go with 14 roster spots, especially with three two ways available now as fill ins when injuries pile up. Still need a shot creator off the bench as that last vet FA, though pickings are getting slim. Fat James appearing would make his dreams of any future near max deals get even dimmer, so he has something to play for. Give Nurse a chance with this group and reassess at or around the deadline unless the offers for Tobi or James dramatically improve before then.

That pretty much follows what Neubeck set out earlier as their plan in FA this year, which so far has played out true. With a lot of cap room next summer before re-signing Maxey, they can make one big FA splash, well, attempt to, and still have enough room to extend Melton into cap space or add other mid-tier FA's and reward any buy low guys we sign this year via cap space if they succeed. It's not my favorite plan in the world, but for now it feels the most likely.

LOL, think it's probably something more immediate.
