The trade would have to be centered around Tobias Harris or it would have to be a collection of Green, Curry, Scott, and someone else for us to do it. Raptors aren't getting Maxey, Shake, or Ben for an old point guard on his final year. Probably wouldn't get picks either.

Raptors wouldn’t want Tobias anyways. It would probably be along the lines of Danny, Maxey/Milton/Thybulle, and a 1st. No need for Curry or Scott or whatever. Danny plus one of those youngsters fit in the trade checker

To think a pick wouldn’t be involved is selling Lowry short. Lowry is still playing like an all star and fits your team like a glove and there aren’t many other realistic floor generals that could be traded for this season. And the package Bucks had to pay for Holiday kind of set the precedent of value for a guy of that level. Raptors probably get just 1 first rounder in a Lowry instead of the 3 that it took for Holiday just cause of Lowrys age. Otherwise the style of Kyles game should let him still be playing at a high level for 2-3 more years

Jrue Holiday: 30 years old, 2 years left on deal
Kyle Lowry: 34 years old, 1 year left on deal

It's not really the same thing. Also the Sixers aren't really desperate for Lowry. If we could get him for Danny, Curry, Scott and Thybulle, I'd consider it. Otherwise, I don't think the Sixers want to touch a rental

I would not give up Curry (and his great contract) for 35-year Lowry. Even straight up.

Why?

Where is this Lowry trade ideas coming from?

PnR points per possession.

Lowry .86
Tobias 1.02
Milton 1.12
Maxey .96

If there’s anything, I’d trade Tobias and a couple of first round picks for Lowry.

I’d do something like..

Raps:
Tobias Harris

Wizards
Shake Milton
8M trade exemption
18M expiring
Raps 1st round pick
Raps 1st round pick
Sixers 2021 1st round pick

Sixers:
Lowry
Bradley Beal

Lavine
Otto Porter

For

15M expiring
Tobias
Milton
Thybulle

Is this fair?

Milton can step in and play lavine’s role. While Tobi should be an upgrade over Markkanen. Bulls also has bazillion of cap space for next year.

If Bulls wants a pick. Trade Thybulle to a third team for a future pick then ship it to the Bulls

Lowry/Maxey
Curry/Milton/Powell/Joe/Mathis*
Simmons/Korkmaz/Ferguson
Washington/Scott/Reed*
Embiid/Howard/Bradley/Zeller

Lowry comes with a 3-60 extension.

At this point I would start every negotiation with Ben Simmons while keep Joel Shake and Maxey out of the deal.

Yeah I’m starting to lean towards trading Simmons, Green, Porier, Bradley and Scott for Porter, Lavine and Carter jr

Ben Trades Im OK With

Bulls:
Tobias and Ben for Lavine, Porter and a first round pick and a pick swap
- i’ll ship that pick and pick swap of Bulls, then add 1 to 2 1st round picks from us, expiring and shake for Beal. I’d then have both Beal and Lavine.

Nuggets:
MPJ, Fillers and 2 1st round picks
- i’ll ship this package to the wizards for Beal

Wizards:
Straight up for Beal
- i’ll then trade Tobias for Otto Porter for cap relief and defense. Another option is Tobias for Aaron Gordon

I'd like to build a trade centered around Ben, Danny and fillers being sent out where the Sixers get the following in return:

Dillon Brooks
Jonas Valanciunas
Terrance Ross
Al Faruq-Aminu
De'Antony Melton

Embiid/Jonas/Dwight
Harris/Aminu/Scott
Brooks/Ross
Milton/Melton/Joe
Curry/Maxey

Anyone want to try their hand at it?

Reason why is Sixers get 5 guys in good contracts for multiple years who fit in exchange for Simmons and a bunch of expiring money. Whatever picks I don't know.

I respect your credibility.

But I agree with youngcrev here.

I can’t see why what you want make sense.

If this is chess, it’s like trading your rook for 3-5 pawns.

We dont even need depth right now given how deep our team is.

We need a 2nd star. This just makes it harder to find one after you make this trade scenario youre proposing

Uh, that you want to trade him for a bunch of bench role players and a mediocre 3+D starter?

Filling your cap sheet with a bunch guys making 10-15M is exactly what you don't want to do.

It's a trade him because you're sick of him deal rather than one that actually targets an actual difference maker.

20 million a year for Lowry? He will be 38 by the end of this contract? Did we not learn anything about Al Horford contract? Oh, and giving up our 1st round picks? Two of them?

In a vacuum, yes. Because it’s much better than getting nothing.

But considering there’s more value you can get with that, like trading for Derozan, then No.

But either way, no way I’m trading for Lowry.
It’s a super lazy idea IMO.

Dame, i’d say 50-50.
Steph, id say 30% chance at best.

After this season, Warriors have a treasure chest of assets.

Huge difference. Lowry fits like a glove with this roster, he doesn’t duplicate your best player like Horford did. This year and next he will still be an All-Star caliber player. The third year you cross your fingers. The fourth year is the cost of locking him up before he hits FA this summer, Worst case scenario he’s a 20M useless expiring contract you can use to match salary in another trade.

As far as the picks go, dumping Harris is gonna cost. But here you could argue Washington and his shooting and the fact he will space the corner and won’t dribble is an upgrade over Tobias honestly. And he’s young and locked up so losing the pick hurts a lot less. I want my PG breaking down defenses, not my PF. That roster is far more optimized to work with Jo and Ben.

And then if you can trade Ben for a 2nd star you’re all set and an actual contender,

My guess would be pretty low. Both seem pretty content with their situations.

Return to Philadelphia 76ers
