Carter is 6'2.25" and 22 years old.

You owe it to yourself to take Castle 100%.

Slow and unathletic. Joe Ingles without defense.

I haven't seen this one...Or have I? I remember the cringy "I'm eating" bit that guys like Harden and Ezekiel Elliot were doing. Actually it was the "Keep feeding me" thing. I didn't think anything could get any worse than that. Gonna have to look up the icewater vein pose.

*Edit* Just looked it up! Holy $hit that's stupid! Of course the first picture I get is of Lebron doing it. What a butt-plug that guy is. Always has been.

I remember watching a video edit of Harden on the Nets, when Kyrie would do a cool iso thing Harden would do like a ballroom dance move and yell ‘may I have this dance, Ky?’

Not a fun or cool gesture that makes you look in control, like shooting arrows or stirring a pot or whatever. Made him look like a daydreaming 17th century peasant girl and he thought that was fire.

Another will be Justin Edwards going in the first, possibly lottery, possibly to us lmao. He got hot from three at times and he's 6'8 with a 6'10 wingspan. Solid steal percentage. Could get the UK underperforming bump in the draft. I'm not about it for us, but I can definitely see it happening.

Honestly, I have been surprised to not see him mocked in the first half of the 1st round up to now, just because of the raw potential and his size. Definitely a project that could turn out to be a major steal if he lands in the right place.

I saw him and Imhotep beat the crap out of west Philly high (which I live next door to) two seasons ago, he looked smooth as hell and was drilling 3s with defenders draped all over him. High release point, good looking motion. Helped that the Speedboys were all like 5’10 though.

Justin Edwards is just so unathletic, though. And he seems like he has no confidence in himself. I would pass on him, even if he dropped to #41. Just don't think he has any upside.

What do you think about Ryan Dunn?

What do you think about Ryan Dunn?

Career 4 ppg player in the NBA. He'll be another Andre Roberson type. All-NBA defensive talent, hopeless offensively. Whatever team drafts him could be stuck going 4 on 5 every night on the offensive end when he's on the floor.

How often do Morey draft someone that didn’t workout for his team?

Because from the number and names of the guys we worked out, its likely we’re going to trade the pick.

Unless its Zach Edey, and Morey’s relying from Nurse’s intel. Which i hope so but i really doubt it.

Shouldn’t be Terrence Shannon and Jaylon Tyson be ranked higher than Jared McCain?

I think Shannon or Tyson would fit well with Maxey.

Then we can just get Naji Marshall and someone like John Collins at the 4.

Tyrese Maxey
Terrence Shannon or Jaylon Tyson
Naji Marshall
John Collins or Jerami Grant or Draymond or Smith
Joel Embiid

Castle is someone I would have loved to have spent more time evaluating if we were drafting in the top 10.

His tape is so good and it's easy to visualize high end upside with his combination of processing and skill in a big guard frame.

When you go to the analytics though it's a bit rough and the jumper needs work.

Castle excels in areas that are not typically highly valued for a guard, while he struggles with aspects that are considered crucial for the position.

Castle projects a lot better when you evaluate him as the wing he is instead of a guard imo.

He has huge defensive upside, high IQ player in terms of off the ball cutting and play finishing/connecting, can create for himself and is very good in transition.

75.5% from the line is promising as well.

He might just end up being Dyson Daniels 2.0 though.

I don’t think we publicly stated that we worked out Maxey or Springer during the predraft process.

To answer your other question, I think Shannon is the better prospect over Tyson.

I think both are below McCain because he was hitting a statistical stride at the end of the season, as a freshman, that was better than both of them. He also has an elite trait as a dynamic shooter. He projects better at the next level.

“We need to draft a good role player who can play immediately”

We’re considering Naji Marshall in FA as a role player; let’s check his college stats:

24 AST%, 2 STL%, 17ppg, +.3 FTr, +.3 3fgr. Was the star of his team. Gotta always draft the prospects with star traits, not the college role players.

I'm negging Carrington hard in my head because of his trash FTr, % of shots at the rim, STL%, low BPM, etc.

But I'll be so pumped if we draft him. He's 100% the eye test type of player that's there to burn the absolute **** out of you.

Wait, hold up. Why did the Pelicans view Naji Marshall as expendable?

Because of two college role players that were not stars are ahead of him in the pecking order.

Herbert Jones has a collegiate career 7.3 ppg and was 4th on his college team in scoring during his final year.

Trey Murphy has a collegiate career 11 ppg and was 3rd on his college team in scoring during his final year.
