Tobias for Klay straight up, both players need a change of scenery, contracts match. If not something like this, I really don't care anymore until 24'

Earn your paycheck Morey. Be the used car salesman you were meant to be. But also value your players correctly.

What would you even want from the Lakers?

I'd add Thybulle and Springer without hesitation, but there's no way Golden State makes this move. Klay is still a hero out there and Myers would crucified if he were to flip him for Tobias Harris.

I'd do it, but I think that Klay is probably cooked. Thought so during the finals last year. Still, if we got anything out of him at all he would be a much better fit here than Tobias.

Myers would never do it though, he'd be run out of town on a rail.

Charania
76ers discuss Tobias Harris with teams

76ers officials have begun their usual check-ins with teams across the league ahead of the Dec. 15 date for players who signed contracts in the offseason to be traded, when trade talks begin to intensify. Philadelphia’s Tobias Harris has come up in the 76ers’ conversations with clubs so far, league sources said.

In his 12th NBA season, Harris has adapted to a new role and has been regarded as a model teammate and leader for the 76ers. He’s averaged 14.7 points and 6.2 rebounds while attempting 12.1 field goals per game — the lowest since his 2015-16 season in Orlando.

Nothing from the Lakers directly, it would be to facilitate a Westbrook trade to a third team.

John Collins fixed alot of issues for us. A tough minded athletic stretch PF. Allowing Thybulle and Tucker to play more mins exclusively as 3's. Tucker would be better as a 3. We need to get tougher and more athletic.

Collins is a worse shooter than Tobias.

The reason he's being shopped by the Hawks is that he's not useful without being an integral part of the offense, something that would not happen here either. He's not a good defender either.

Unless you want him only for rebounding reasons he doesn't fix anything for us

We know the Hawks don't want Tobias. And the Sixers really have no other way to match salaries without opening other holes.

I doubt they are flush with options. Collins doesn't fix anything but he is the better player so if there is a deal there to be made lets make it. As far as to what offers could be available you could do Harris + Niang for Collins + Bogdan. They'd save Collins last two years and the first two years would be essentially the same with the difference between Niang and Bogdan.

I don't think it solves things but I think we get more athletic and Bogdan is a wildcard depending on his health. Would the Hawks do it? Who knows. Dumping Bogdan would probably be attractive to them but moving Collins for Harris maybe a tougher sell even though Collins is unhappy and not playing well

Of course the other easier option is just to make a play on RFA like Toppin. Finding a suitor for Harris is a problem.

I’d love to get John Collins for Tobi. JC is the guy i want even before the Harden deal went down.

JC and Harden can also run good 2 man games

Klay just scored 8 points in about thirty seconds. Yeah....Ok ..If he's cooked, then PJ Tucker is charbroiled.

He's scoring 15 pts a game, shooting 35% from the field. And his defense has dropped a lot, hes below average right now.

Also, PJ is supposed to be a role player, Klay (and his contract) is supposed to be an All-Star.

Harris 17th highest paid player in the NBA (yuck)

37.6 mil

Realistic Targets:

Not a lot but here goes

KD (44) - Yes, doesn’t matter, yes. but We have a poo poo platter to offer with Harris so it can be easily beaten unless Morey puts Maxey in. Heartbreaking but it’s KD.

Gobert (38.1) - If the Wolves go bottoms up and finally decides to blow everything up and move everyone bar Edwards he may be available. Price is too steep so pass

Lavine (37) - Prices match, athletic wing, got the Kelly Oubres when it comes to shot selection, can’t defend to save himself, we have one ball and enough scoring. Hard pass once again too much to get, good age though

Porzingis (33) This one is interesting, we have zero durability so I don’t care about doubling down on it. We’ll lean even more heavy on Harden for ball duties but I’ve always wondered a true twin towers with Embiid. Hmm probably pass

BI (31) Yes, oh god yes more so than anyone bar KD. Look every bit as unguardable in his first playoff series. Great age etc. WANT

Shai (31) Did say it was realistic? Scrap it Presti loves picks Shai ain’t that good (I’m lying but f it). Yes 100%

Hayward (30) - Might be the most gettable one. Quality offensive component that fits much better alongside Embiid. If Harris dances with two left feet then Hayward is the tango like going from drinking arse tier craft beer to straight German OKtoberFest Lager no comparison.

That’s all I got atm.

I have to disagree on Klay. Sure, he's lost a step but to me it's more of a slump as opposed to an all out decline. We'll see, I bet he gets it together.

The reason he's being shopped by the Hawks is because he's been demanding a trade for years now. He and Trae don't get along.

In addition to rebounding, Collins offers great shotcontesting ability. Nobody we play at PF other than Paul Reed can match him there. And he's shot 37.6% from three before these 15 games this season. I think his shooting will rebound.

IMO if we get a solid 3&D wing it will be a massive improvement over Tobias. We have just won a game against the Bucks without him, the dude plays worse against good teams or he just doesn't mesh well with what our team needs.

Despite his efforts to fit, he is too soft, does not rebound well, and also we need a better defender in his position. Even if this player shoots a bit worse than him, it won't matter. We should also maybe not judge e.g., Collins based on his previous 3pt shooting %, because in an offense with Embiid, Harden and Maxey he should be getting more open looks than ever before.
