Kind of weird to me that we would trade him just for trade exception.. No other players involved.. But it does make sense for Cavaliers I guess..

In conclusion, Dre is 99% as good as gone in next couple of weeks or months, so this is kind of a pre-farewell thread too..

1. Andre can create his own shot. (Really?)
2. Andre would work well in the princeton offense. (Oh yeah?)
3. Cavs need a #1 option and Andre led us to the playoffs (I think they got the wrong Andre...and #1? ... I guess he does go back and say "this would be part of other deals")

I hope we don't trade him to the Cavs. The only player i would be interested in is Hickson, but the cavs won't trade him i dont think. I hope we trade him to a contender, after all these yrs with us he deserves to play for somebody good.

This is going to go poorly. Why trade Iggy if you suck with him anyway? It's not like Turner is setting **** on fire. We would regret it.

My thinking exactly. It's one thing to trade Iguodala if a solid deal comes around, but to lose all your leverage by actively shopping him isn't a good idea IMO.

We're going to be pretty bad regardless, so if we can't get a top flight prospect it doesn't seem worth it to give him away.

Yeah this is gonna get ugly. Turner better show something out there, before we trade Iguodala. I'd hate to be too hard on ET, but he's looking like a straight up scrub. Could be a trade we might regret.

I really hope we dont do anything with CLE. Like it was said above , Why dump him for nothing , We should get something in return.

And to the guy who said JJ Hickson , why the hell would THEY do that? They had a chance to get amare for JJ when Phoenix was dealing Amare. I just dont see it happening

If anyone didn't know he was going to be traded, you have been living under a rock. He is an overpaid defensive specialist. We don't need another tweener that is way overpaid. Thad and ET need his minutes. IF he was an allstar like some fools think he is going to be we certainly wouldn't be shopping him. But as a role player on a good team he would be fine. I for one don't care where he goes. We owe him nothing.

I do think this is a move that has to be made to see if ET can play and also to see if Thad can be the SF we hope he would be. ALso with Meeks stepping up. ET will be getting less minutes so ET will be playing SF.

I hope we get a big man. I think Gortat, Kaman, or Okafor would be ok. Or just someone else.

I was never really high on Love, but I'm right there with you now...I'd give Iguodala, Speights and 2 future/somewhat protected #1's in a package if it gets you Love. Still not perfect inside with Love, but I'm OK with anyone who can rebound like that.

Minnesota was rumored to want Turner pre-draft, but I'm not sure you can move Igoudala to them. Seems the only rumors you hear are Cleveland, NJ and Houston. Will be interesting to see this shake out. Too much smoke too early in the year for something to not get done.

LOL, that's the thing with fantasy trades. They just assume other teams would give up players they are trying to build upon.

I think Iggy would fit well with the Rockets. They would give up Jeffries, Hill ,Budinger, and 1st round pick are young good players still in their rookie contracts and Jeffries(7.6 mil) is an expiring contract.

Beg to differ. I see a rookie with the talent, but still learning the game. To me, Turner is a better scoring Iggy. Have you seen his silky smooth handlez? Iggy never had anything like that. Trust me, give him some time and he'll step up.

Nothing objective in his NBA career upon which you can base this, but I think Turner will be fine as well, and I think he'll end up being an end of game closer when he is more of a go to guy on this team.

It's going to be a learning process for the entire team, and I can see talent in Turner.

It's a matter of him picking up his self-confidence again and adjusting to the league's level. When that will happen, can't sure for sure.

quick question for anyone. if a team has a trade exception less than the salary of the player they are trading for, can they add another player(salary) to combine the two to make it work for Iggy? or is the trade exception exclusively used by itself only? thanks.

Houston fan here... Do you actually prefer a TE over any package Houston could offer? lets say Jeffries (expiring), Hill, Taylor/Budinger and possibly a pick....
