Our first statement game? Or would that be ATL or MIA?

I'm putting it at 70/30 Turner plays, 40/60 for Hawes

Can't wait for this one. Toughest foe since opening night against Portland.

What's annoying is that if we do end up beating them, it will be "oh I guess the Nuggets aren't as good as we thought" instead of just us actually being good (nationally that is).

If we do lose this game, it will play right into the national perception of us only being able to beat bad teams. This is a must win.

I shouldn't even say nationally, even local media has been extremely disappointing lately when it comes to the Sixers for the most part.

Coach Collins calls Spencer a "game time decision" & will know more later today; he adds that it looks like Evan Turner can go.

This is gonna be a good one. We haven't had many close, interesting games this season. I have a feeling this one could come down to a last shot.

Look forward to the match-up between Ty Lawson and Jrue. Lawson was the guy I wanted the Sixers to pick when they got Jrue and I still think he may be the better player, though obviously both guys have outplayed their expectations. Hope Jrue has a great game and proves me wrong, it's gonna be a tough one, great match-ups across the board..

This would be a huge win against a very good Denver team. They matchup well with eachother, as neither team has a "star" but a very deep, solid team.

Hopefully we can take care of business, it would be a pretty good statement and boost our confidence against Atlanta Friday which will be another decent test.

I just read that Doug had a yoga instructor at practice today to help out with Spence and Ev along with the mental aspects of this condensed seasson

Hope everyone can go tonight. If Spenc isn't ready, I'd like to see Vucevic get an opportunity to step up and give us something from the C position. Regardless, this is a very tough game as they have a similar make-up in that they are difficult to defend with everyone on their team being able to hurt you. Andre Miller knows how to make an offense flow so we'll need a well-rounded contribution on both ends of the floor. Winnable game, but Denver could be our toughest challenge yet. This won't be easy.

IMO key matchup tonight is Lawson vs Holiday. If Holiday can keep Lawson from going off and also setting up his teammates, I think the Sixers win this. If Lawson abuses Holiday and Holiday has one of his high turnover games, I think it is a loss. Also Lou will factor into this matchup too. Nobody on Denver can match up with Lou except Lawson. So really to me the key to the game is who controls the PG matchup. Lou Will/Holiday or Lawson?

If Hawes plays and is his Hawesome self, he provides a clear matchup upgrade over Mozgov. I think Brand and Nene can cancel each other out. Iguodala will be able to limit Gallinari. If either Afflalo or Meeks has a hot game, they could make a huge difference.

Off the bench Harrington and Thad should be even. I think Turner can keep Miller from being a huge factor.

well i think we need hawes more tonight than against the hawks... the hawks have no one threatening at center that vuc or battie cant handle... tonight though i think we need hawes

i really hope both can go..

we matchup well with them... jrue should be able to get his shot off very easily vs lawson, and meeks isnt really a weakness going against afflalo who likes to float around the 3 point line... iggy should be able to lock up gallinari, who will have a hard time on iggy... brand vs nene is probably our worst matchup, but brand usually plays good vs big bruisers..

our bench can outscore those, and thad can guard harrington out on the 3 point line pretty easily
