Yes it was pretty much a no brainer to exercise the option. That said, I had concerns over whether BC would or not as "no brainer" is not necessarily a hurdle he clears with regularity.

?? No. He wasn't guaranteed while his option was open. Now that the option has been picked up, he is guaranteed for the coming season.
