We had a thread asking this last year but I dont know where it is, briefly searched trying to see what I had put down.

I think Okafor adds several w's this year, but he is a rookie, so by several I mean like 3-5. Plus Noel will be that much better. Ill go with 24.

25-30 all depending on nerlens development and the stauskus wildcard. If nerlens has any semblance of a mid range game and stauskus plays like he should have been the 8th pick and SAC is just really dumb then I say 30

I nailed it last year at 18, but it was a wild ride of ups and downs.

This year I am thinking that we may win 25.

Before the Embiid news I was thinking more like 30.

I'm starting to think that we may need to find a competent NBA point guard(better than Ish smith) this year simply for the development of Okafor.

Okafor needs the ball in the right spots to be most effective. If we can find a good point guard we might be better than 25, and if we can't then we might be worse.

I voted in the thirty range, but a lot has to happen for even that to be possible.
If we can at least appear to be creeping on the come up, I'm good with it. Really want Ish Smith to come back.

It's going to be another tough year. Unless there is a roster surprise like Saric coming over, I'm picking 23 and that feels like it might be high to me.

I was right on with my prediction of 18 wins last season so this year I'm projecting a steady improvement to 25-30 wins. I have a couple of reasons to believe this:

1) Nerlens will improve a whole lot in my opinion, I think we were all surprised by his 2nd half of the season last year where he showed tremendous potential. Even showing more of an offensive game that I ever expected. The 2nd year is usually where guys explode and if he can improve even more on his jumper the sky is the limit.

2) The presence of Jahlil Okafor will do so much for the team mainly on the offensive side of the ball. Not only does he give us a legit post presence but he also commands a double team that will open up the floor for our shooters and Nerlens on the weak side. I expext big years from Cov and Hollis.

3) Our defense will continue to improve as we were on on the cusp of being a top 10 defensive team last year. We took a bit of a step back losing MCW and KJ who are both plus perimeter defenders with great size, and losing Luc will hurt. But I feel with increased team continuity this team can be something great on defense.

I'm predicting 30 wins..
We are now at the point were we have actual players (Noel, Okafor) who actually care about winning. I don't believe we can tank any longer and keep Noel here.

Someone posted in another thread it's time to sign a DJ Augustine to run the show and improve the development of Noel and Okafor. I

About this. I assume there will be no 17 and 10 game losing streak to start and end the season respectively. I also believe we are more talented.

So going by RealGm votes:

Cleveland 60 (only 1 vote) (I'd say under about 55)
Chicago 50-54 (I'd give them 50, they played good even when Rose was out. )
Toronto 50-54 (Patterson and Jonas in the back court :noway: No bench)
Miami 50-54 (Wade, Bosh, Stat and Lou are all injuries waiting to happen. If they can stay healthy throughout the season then 50-54)
Atlanta 50-54 (Carroll swapped for THJ :noway: does Thabo come back healthy?)
Milwaukee 45-49 (Nice young Squad moving up, but Monroe on defense :banghead: )
Indiana 45-49 (losing West and Hibbert hurts more than people think, Hill and Turner replace them. Turner's looking good)
Celts 45-49 (over achieved winning 40-42, I don't see an improvement even with A.J. I.T should start, looked good late in the season)
New York 40-44 (dependent on Better defense improves wins, offense will be slow until All-Star break. Melo must stay healthy)
Washington 40-44 (Nene's getting old (32), dropped from 15ppg-11 and 7.5Rpg-5.5, Same with Gortot. Played pretty good in the P.O)
Charlotte 40-44 (losing Lance and gaining Batum - not bad. Can MKG, Walker, and Zeller step up?
Detroit 40-44 (Losing Monroe hurt, Ilyasova replaces him in the starting lineup.
Orlando 30-34 (Nothing lost, nothing gained, take that back they lost a defender in O'Quinn)
Brooklyn 30-34 (Brook has been injury Prone, Losing D. Will could be a good thing and a bad thing, Andrea Bargnani = bad thing)
Philly 25-29 (Outside of Okafor, Noel, and Embrid, name 3 players on their roster- Go

To be honest, we won all our games in 65 games played after our 0-17 start. Now factor in that Noel, who was playing at a great pace in the final 2 months of the season will be in his 2nd season, and that Covington, who was also a rookie will be in his 2nd season, and Wroten will be ready to go from the start, and Ish Smith, who came in the middle of last season will have a whole year to get on the same page with the regulars. Then factor in having the BEST Offensive rookie in this draft class....the return of a Dynamic PG who can score in Jackson, and a great Athletic defensive talent in Grant in his second season...I think this team should, and CAN win at at least a 350 winning % for the season ( Maybe even at a 400 % )..and that would equal around 30-35 wins. I really think...barring some kind of strange mid-season roster turnover again...that anything less then 30 wins will be a complete disappointment to me. And a season of around 18-20 Wins...that may call for a firing of someone ( Hinkie, maybe Brown )

That's the way I see it anyways.
