They were wrong; BC was bad in the first too.

Can we start the Fire Elton Brand thread now? When your GM gets beaten in a trade by a team that doesn't even have a GM (Washington) and he clearly has no concept of the value of 2nd round picks, the guy is clearly overmatched in his job and needs to replaced.

I don't think he is bad. He is just ordinary. We'll be alright.

It's just sad to think that Sixers could still have top3 GM if owner of a team wasn't a pussy.

Elton is just a puppet. This bad decisions are the fault of Josh Harris and David Blitzer.

I don't have a problem with the second round as much as other people, but maybe Elton shouldn't have broadcasted before the draft what exactly they were looking for. Seems kind of silly to willingly to hand out that intel.

It’s not a problem as much as they didn’t even try, especially when the team that won the title is full of those type of players.

Think of it like this, your best player has health issues on a regular basis, when he’s out of the game the team has no legit backup for him and the defense literally turns to ****. Why would of drafting Bol Bol with one of those late picks hurt this team so much? If he’s a scrub who doesn’t want to play, who cares???,, you took a flyer on him in the 2nd round, no big deal, life goes on.

He isn’t going to ruin team chemistry, he isn’t going to command a salary that’s going to ruin this team financially for years to come. But let’s say 2 years from now he puts on 30 - 40 lbs and gets Denver a first round pick in the draft for him, well then you look like a complete jackass. I don’t care how the other GM’s passed on him, you’re the idiot for not taking a guy who has zero downside, who at that point is no risk, and all reward.

To be fair I didn’t interview him, if he threatened to kill your GM’s dog like he did that lion, fine pass on him.

Rumor has it that it is David B. Heller who fancies himself the shadow GM of the team. Now, assuming that’s true, Harris letting him is obviously a problem.

If that's too, I say we start calling him Jerry Heller

The ownership has always been the decision makers for this team. Even during Hinkie’s time. Difference is we were in “kick the can” mode back then and we are in “win now” mode now.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Eh. I think this is probably more of a collaborative effort than elsewhere, but I don't see any reason to believe that to be true. Elton's likeable though, so we need to paint someone else as the villain
