How long is the protect for? and why Bogut? a followup trade with Bos\Chi?

No clue how long the protection is for, the way Stein worded it in his tweet it sounded like it was just for this upcoming draft

No word yet on the pick after this year, but the trade seems pretty darn weak now. There's no pt in even bothering with the 2017 stuff, zero chance it conveys now.

RIP Noel, always one of my favorite Sixers.

I know I was averse to paying nerlens big money at first to be a backup but I had come around to it with his renewed energy and embiid's injury history.

I think this was a terrible trade and I'm pissed. Another late first round pick is going to do anything unless it's unprotected next year which is doubtful.

Justin Anderson is an intriguing player. Development is at uptrend.

Justin Anderson is pretty good pick up. But I HATE this deal if the pick isnt unprotected next year. That is an awful haul for Nerlens Noel. And im not just saying that because he was one of my favorite Sixers. BC man **** you.

We are obviously cutting Bogut, but I don't get why we are stockpiling these picks. We need to turn into a winning mode! And I liked Nerlens better than Jah on this team..

I am so pissed of right now. This stupid peace of trash, who calles himself a GM, will ruine everything Hinckie was building. We've got our own Vdae Divac, gentelman! Congrats!

this blows. Embiid + Noel was just a surefire base for a decent team no matter what else happened. Helps take the load off Embiid too. Just seems like Colangelo decided on day 1 he didn't want Noel. Almost like he was worried they'd be good together so they tried to avoid playing them together at the same time too.

Any news on what happens to the Pick if it rolls over (which it will)?

"Philadelphia is sending Nerlens Noel to Dallas for Justin Anderson and a first-round draft pick, league sources tell @TheVertical."
"Dallas center Andrew Bogut will go to the 76ers in the Noel trade too, league source tells @TheVertical."
"The Mavericks have long been intrigued with Noel, and will work to sign him to an extension. Noel's a restricted free agent."
"Philly likely re-routing Andrew Bogut, just acquired from Dallas w/Justin Anderson & pick for Nerlens Noel. Boston possibility, per source."

EDIT: Also, it's top 18 protected this year, unknown for the future.
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that we wasted a ton of time trying to see if Okafor and Embiid fit together despite it being a predictable failure and we did only 8 minutes of due diligence on the Nerlens and Embiid pairing.

I'm sure Hinkie could have gotten a better deal, idk what BC is thinking.
