Kuzma and Ingram on the trade block? Get 'er done, coach Brown!

I take it you mean opting into greatness equals getting the hell outta there?

If the Sixers miss out on George and LeBron and can’t trade for Kawhi... I’d certainly kick the tires on Deng and Ingram for some cheap piece.

It sounds like he's just saying that the young players are developing internally to the point where they're going to start winning games, regardless of whether or not they sign a big free agent.

Ingram, especially, could be an outright budding star this upcoming season.

One of the two of Dario and Covington should move yes. But, not for that deal and especially not to the Celtics.

Covington is a good piece to move as his salary is locked and affordable. He plus that MIA 2021 pick + something would get the Sixers a true valuable player All Star talent, like a Kawhi, for moving forward as opposed to a random bit of pieces and a mid level player.

You look forward nicely, but I think the time to push in the chips is now.

I would consider trading Dario to Boston for the rest of the 2019 SAC 1st, 2019 MEM 1st and Marcus Morris.

2019 first round draft pick from Memphis
Memphis' 1st round pick to Boston protected for selections 1-8 in 2019 and 1-6 in 2020 and unprotected in 2021 [Boston-Memphis-New Orleans, 1/12/2015]. This has a good chance of being a late lottery pick next year.

2019 SAC 1st I expect to be a top 8 pick

That's 2 lottery picks next year which with the 2021 MIA pick would get us a good sniff at the #1 pick in next year's draft. Next year's draft is weaker than this class but is filled with blue-chip SFs like RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish, Romeo Langford, Keldon Johnson, Nassir Little in the top 10.

I would only do this deal if we knew getting Kawhi would mean LeBron signs here.

Sixers out: Fultz, Covington, Saric, Bayless, Zhaire Smith, Landry Shamet
Sixers in: Kawhi, Mills

Magic out: Fournier, Magic 2019 1st round pick top 5 protected
Magic in: Fultz, Bayless

Spurs out: Kawhi, Mills
Spurs in: Covington, Saric, Fournier, Zhaire Smith, Landry Shamet, Magic 2019 1st round pick top 5 protected

In that trade, Fournier went out but didn't go in anywhere.

Good luck getting Boston to agree to that. Other teams around the league do not value Saric as highly.
it was reported that Dario was a piece that teams were asking for along with #10 to move into the top 5.

“A piece” was the key phrase there. I’m sure MEM was asking for Saric and 10 for Parsons and 4.

pat bev looks on the outs with 2 guards chosen in the draft. He's expiring under contract for 5m this year. Would be a good replacement for Redick. I'd offer Holmes + TLC (maybe JA if team has no plans for him). Fultz-Beverley-Covington-Simmons-Embiid = defensive goat team.

this is way too much for me. Three 1st rd picks and one established elite role player in Cov. is just one extra piece too many I think.

Although in this scenario we hold onto the MIA pick which is interesting, I guess.

That's a massive overpay for bad back Kawhi and oldman pat.

I like the Magic trade though, I would move the protections to 2-5 and get it to convey as a 2021 unprotected 1st

The Clippers may not have him in their longterm plans, but he's still a really productive role player. I don't think a package of non-rotation players from us would interest them.

Beverley is going to be a hot commodity for the Clippers, come February. They'd be wise to hold onto him until then.

I’m stuck on some sort of Fultz for Kemba trade as making the most sense. Obviously I’d prefer signing Lebron or PG or trading for Kawhi, but trading for Kemba seems like the best option 4 to me.

Fultz, Shamet, Bayless, TLC, and Holmes

for

Kemba and Marvin Williams

PG- Ben
SG- Kemba
SF- RoCo
PF- Saric
C- JoJo
6th man- JJ
7th- Ersan
Marvin Williams
Zhaire Smith
TJ
Bolden
Korkmaz/Anderson/Shake

Thoughts? Too much to the Hornets? Enough to compete with Boston?

I'd rather just see what Fultz becomes during his rookie contract.

Kemba is expiring and then would cost like $30 million annually over a 4 or 5 year stretch. At his age and diminutive stature, that contract is going to get ugly fast.

Can you rank these packages with the Spurs point of view:
Robert Covington + Zhaire Smith + 2021 Heat 1st
Brandon Ingram + 2019 Lakers 1st
Jaylen Brown + 2019 Kings + 2019 Clippers 1st

1.) I dont think Lakers will give up both Ingram and Lonzo
2.) Am I bias to think that RoCo is at par in terms of value with Jaylen?
3.) 2019 draft = weak while 2021 draft = strong?
4.) push comes to shove, are we ok to include our 2019 pick?
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

Ingram + a Lakers pick that would presumably be 15 or later isn’t anywhere close in my opinion. Not to trade Khawi within the West.

That Boston trade is impossible. Ainge would have to pull a rabbit out of his ass 1st to pull off a trade where Boston gets Khawi and it’s not Kyrie going back to San Antonio.

I wouldn't be impressed with that Sixers package if I was running the Spurs. Both Boston and L.A. are offering up a 2-way player capable of eventually scoring 20 ppg plus picks. We're not offering up a star talent, so we'd have to sweeten the package to 3 or possibly even 4 first rounders.

1) Pop won’t trade Kawhi to LA.
2) Brown plus picks doesn’t match Kawhi’s salary, so it’s not a legal trade. The only realistic way they can get it done, assuming Ainge won’t move both Tatum and Brown and that Pop won’t accept a 6 for 1 deal, is with Kyrie.
3) The Sixers will offer more than that.

I wouldn't offer more than that. Pop can play with a disgruntled Kawhi if he so wants.
