I agree, but I think that the League is trying to force teams in this situation to sit the player for the home game, which I think is the most fair thing to do.

Imagine if you had a ten game plan of tickets and you were excited to go to the Cavs game, and Lebron sat. Other team's fans will be in that situation with Embiid, whereas home team fans get to see him all the time.

Can understand either way, think we can beat the Wizards without him, tho. Only chance we have against the Celtics is with him.

We need Biid against Celts. Drummond was key on Pistons victory

Sixers have a shot at beating WSH without Embiid since Wall is out. Need Embiid to beat BOS. I’d rather throw the WSH game and just beat BOS, honestly.

Haven't heard anything about him sitting. Maybe they're going to let him play back to back...

With JoJo we have a 75% chance of beating Washington - without 25% chance.

With JoJo we have 25% chance to beat Boston - without a 10% chance.

You should play him tonight and almost guarantee a win that would be the smart thing to do.

Washington had a game yesterday already and is without Wall.
I would take it as a task to our team to go and win this game without Joel.

And have him back to take on the Celtics

I don't think they would rest him for a home game and not give people at least 24 hours notice.

Yeah, that's assuming the Sixers beat Boston. In your scenario it is quite possible that Philly loses both games.

Personally I'd play Embiid as needed against Washington. If Philly plays well and only needs around 24 minutes from Embiid then I'd play him also against Boston. If you need a full 36 minutes from Embiid in the Washington game, then maybe you don't play Embiid against Boston.

You’re right, it’s possible they lose both games. That’s a possibility even if Embiid plays both games. So I would focus on beating Boston, even if it doesn’t work. That’s just me, though.

Eh, I know it'd be sweet as hell to stomp the Celtics, but it seems better for the team (and us probably) not to put too much into one reg season game and start gameplanning and strategizing the whole week around it. If it's gotta be one or the other, just follow the regular plan for Embiid sitting out and look forward to when the games really matter.

(Plus I'd rather take the 70% chance of beating a team than the 30% chance of beating them--and it'll suck if we lose to the Wiz because we're lacking Biid stuff and then get smoked by the Celtics anyway).

I'm gonna guess the Sixers wanted to keep the season ticket holders happy by having Embiid play the home game.

Even though I would have preferred he played against Boston.

If it was hack-a-Jojo and not hack-a-Ben... Sixers win by double digits.

Well, we got a win that feels like a loss; and are most likely getting stomped mañana in Beantown. Still would’ve done it the other way.

Yooooo check out these Embiid high school JV highlights. Lol at Embiid dribbling past the basket out of bounds and trying to shoot it arm the 1:47 mark lol.

Amazing to see what he was like physically. He is probably like 6’10 and 220 here( just guessing) and all knees and elbows. You could just tell how physically immature he was.

He is like a Great Dane puppy.
