Embiid has clearly been getting his wind recently. I don’t know what the perfect number is for him, but I am guessing that it is about 275.

I don’t know what his weight last January was but he needs to be back at that weight and form. I want to see him dominate again.

I've read mixed things about Embiid's supermax qualifiers. MVP, DPOY, or which all-NBA team(s)? I've heard just 1st versus 1st, 2nd, or 3rd.

First team and MVP are the qualifiers.

Someone posted this in the WT thread so IDK which source to believe.

Embiid, one of the NBA's most talented and popular young players, has the ability to earn an additional $30 million -- bringing the value of the contract to as much as $178 million -- if he earns an All-NBA first-, second- or third-team selection, or is named MVP this season, league sources said.

That’s how it was originally reported, but it’s been since corrected.

Sorry not familiar.

So if Embiid wins 1st all NBA or MVP, he will hurt the cap?

Or does all the bonus not count on the cap, that way i think its a good loophole

Cant get enough of the Embiid interviews man. Guy is hilarious. Super bummed the scheduling gods hate us and we play at Cleveland then at New Orleans this weekend. Means we wont get Embiid vs Cousins in a rematch of what was one of the more entertaining battles last season, when both guys have a ton of respect for each other.

That is dumb, thought we didn't have another back-to-back for a while.

Joel Embiid and Sam Hinkie continue to communicate occasionally even though the former general manager was fired by the Philadelphia 76ers nearly two years ago.

"Yeah, we text sometimes," said Embiid. "We talk to each other sometimes. I mean, that’s the guy that drafted me, and he made sure he put everything in place so I could get healthy. And I got healthy and I got back on the court. And I feel like he basically kind of lost his job because of me, because I missed two years. So I feel like I owe him a lot. Yeah, we talk. We talk sometimes."

Embiid has embraced the moniker of "The Process" that has come to be associated with Hinkie's tenure with the 76ers.

Embiid is expected to be an All-Star this season if he remains healthy.
