Whose team is this? Team MVP?

Just wondering whose team is this (assuming everyone healthy.)
I assume Embid's team with Simmons facilitating/the all rounder, and possibly Fultz as an all star guard.
In other words, are all 3 league MVP candidates? If they clash, who should be top dog (yes, I know their skill sets are complimentary.)

Dynamics of who the "alpha" dog can change on a team over time.
Right now. Embiid is the face of the franchise. He's probably the face of Philadelphia sports altogether. He's the alpha dog.
I don't see Simmons being the alpha dog (1A option). He's a distributable playmaker
Fultz if he continues his rise in 3-4 years could becomes alpha dog 1A at the end of the game.
These days. Teams need 2 alpha dogs. But than again. There can be jealous players (like Irving and James in Cleveland) even thought Irving gets free reign to take as many shots as he wants and gets to take important shots.
We will see how it plays out with Embiid Simmons and Fultz.
But right now. Embiid is the lone alpha dog

I agree, Embiid should be the main player teams will be focused on. His defense should be game changing. However, the three headed monster of Simmons, Fultz, and Embiid should be unique. Simmons is such an unselfish player (like Alonzo), it will be a challenge for teams to defend them. Hopefully, the ball movement will be very good, Spurs like.

Right now it's not only Embiid's team it's his city. Embiid has the keys to the city. I think by the end of the season Simmons will show just how good he is and you can make the claim it's his team by his play. However, I don't think Simmons will ever be as loved as Embiid is even if Simmons becomes as good as LeBron because Embiid has such and infectious personality that just draws fans to love him. Simmons nor Fultz will ever have the personality as Embiid and personality goes a long way. Embiid is already a beast. If he were an average player with the same personality he would be loved but not as much. If he were an average player with the same personality and Simmons were as good as LeBron it would be Simmons' team.
So I'll break it down like this.
The fans will always give more love to Embiid because he's a beast and has the personality.
As far as just team play I think eventually Simmons will be the main guy. Simmons will just never be as loved as Embiid though. Would that irk him or make him jealous? Maybe. Maybe not.

Remember not to underestimate Dario's leadership. Some rumblings about him being the team's glue and hardest worker definitely makes an impact. Of course it's JoJo's team but hopefully we have a lot of unique pieces now.

JoJo, but I can foresee both Simmons and Embiid being the alphas.

Probably gonna be Simmons. I think he'll have the ball in his hands the most and quite frankly the whole team is built around him which is kind of annoying in some respects. The offense we play is conducive for his success as well.

Embiid is the Franchise. It's his team and as long as he is healthy he'll be the most popular player on the team. That will drive the pecking order with management. On the court, Simmons will challenge Embiid for the leadership title. Simmons' personality won't allow him to take a backseat to Embiid. It could be a positive dynamic. They'll keep each other on their toes.
Fultz isn't on their level as a talent and is a few years younger than those guys. It should be easy for him to fall back and accept a role behind those guys. Saric, is a role player. He may offer some behind the scenes leadership in practice, but he isn't good enough to claim the team as his or have anything built around his abilities. It's Embiid now, and later Simmons fighting him for #1 the whole time they're both on the team.

It's Embiid's City as Unbreakable said. Talent wise it might end up being a wash but Embiid has that star personality that the league hasn't seen from a big, and really anyone, since Shaq. On the court, I think Embiid and Simmons are on the same tier and will have similar value to the team but Embiid has it all when it comes to the intangibles. He is an energy guy, leader of the defense, and star all rolled up into one.
Fultz is a tier down talent wise and just doesn't seem as demonstrative on court.

@ Embiid's city aspect
I feel like if the Eagles make the playoffs this year than Carson Wentz will be right there with Embiid.
as far as who's the "alpha dog" or whatever term you want to use: it really depends on the matchup.
Honestly, I feel like Saric will wind up being our most clutch player due to everyone else drawing attention. He will never got his just dues because his stats won't blow you away, but some guys are just winners.

shawn hemp. I like those thoughts. Although Saric may not be quite as athletic as some of the others, he can still improve in other ways and be clutch.
Embiid is a phenomenal talent and a natural leader. Scary how good he can be, even in the near era of centerless basketball. It is hard not to gush. He has plenty of things to learn, but who doesn't after 31 games of NBA ball. Easily team MVP.
McConnell may beat out Bayless as backup point, and give some quality minutes, perhaps even at the game end where he excelled last year.
Realistically, despite the arrow pointing sky high, Fultz and Simmons are still question marks. If they are so good in their rookie years that they could challenge for team MVP, then the 76ers are a 50 win team or more. I don't see that in 17/18 but I see it in the years to follow.
Getting this team to do all things that a truely fine team does is the new process. A taste of an experienced, talented team in the last quarter of the season would be a delight. But individual and team growth takes time.

Simmons? Simmons is a beta male so I don't see him being the leader of this team. It's clearly going to be Embiid unless he can't stay healthy...

The Sixers will always belong to Embiid so long as he is healthy. Simmons is on his level talent-wise but is nowhere near as popular. He's a pretty reserved guy so I doubt that will ever change. I just hope that Simmons doesn't pull a Kyrie on us.

Whether he's beta or not is irrelevant to my argument for him being the main cog on the team. You can make the case that every move the team has made since he's been drafted has been to enhance and feature him despite not playing a single game. All the interviews and press clippings only enhance that feeling.

I wouldn't call Simmons a beta male. I think he's an alpha male. I think some think he's a beta because he didn't shoot a lot at LSU and down the stretch against Marquette I believe he chose to pass it and not shoot it. And even Dick Vitale got on Simmons for not shooting enough one game. Not shooting enough doesn't mean you're a beta. He is just a great team player and loves to pass. There's nothing wrong with that. I expect many fans early one to get on Simmons for passing down the clutch like how LeBron early in his career and even to this day get on him. I can guarantee there will be a game within the first 20 games where Simmons elects to pass the ball within 5 seconds instead of shooting it and that player misses the shot. I expect fans to call in and say Simmons is afraid to shoot. You know it's coming.
Simmons is just wired like LeBron where they like making the best play instead of shooting it no matter what just because they are the best player. I consider Simmons and alpha. He's just reserved and not boisterous like Embiid. And the fact that Simmons loves to pass could be a blessing in that maybe he and Embiid won't get angry with each other over who's team it is like Shaq and Kobe since they both wanted to shoot.

fantastic we were in position to draft Simmons, and no complaint of BC trading to grab Fultz. but EmBiid is the reason Sam took all the chances and acquired so many assets. he is the Process. like Sam told Lowe, Embiid's athleticism is off the charts. (just got to keep him on the court, and he will dominate the game.)
