Take ur time.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

I'm getting inevitable redshirt vibes. Players don't miss 2 months for soreness.

That’s what I expected too pretty much, although I hoped that they would say that he was additionally cleared for shooting again.

Regardless, I don’t want him back until he is as healthy as he was in the summer.

gdog2004 wrote:Hypothetical for you guys. We all want Fultz to come back and be great, and I am sure mostly everyone (including me) were on board with the trade. so at this point... Does anyone expect Fultz to come back and be more impactful than Simmons ?
I'd guess that, best case scenario for his 1st/2nd year, he sort of looks like current Jrue Holiday who makes more mistakes but can get his own shot more easily. So a pretty good secondary ball handler who can hit pull-ups and some spot-ups, drive if the defense gives him a little gap, and initiate in pn'r (esp when Embiid or Simmons aren't in).

That'd be great, and I don't think anyone should have any expectations beyond. I think it's possible that after that, he could have mastered timing a little more and extended his range, and could be more like a 22/5/7 guy who's got a counter for whatever the D throws at him.

I think if we don't see him by early January then they're just gonna shelve him.

Depends on how deep we are in the playoff race.

This isn't the tank years where we would just sit him, he can really help this team so if he can play......he will be out there.

as confident i was with embiid and simmons, as unconfident i am about fultz. never thought he would be a great shooter or even an average nba 3 point shooter. hated the trade up and this **** up situation doesnt settle me. i just hope he will get healthy soon, shoot like harden and wipe my fears away.

is here anybody with knowledge about the shoulder soreness fultz has? whats the typical recovery time?

He's been able to play. The Sixers never wanted to sit him.

You’re being too nice with this edit. I preferred the initial post.

He's been able to play, but hasn't been able to shoot, so what use is he?

He hasn't been shooting by his own discretion. There's no structural issue preventing him from shooting.

Spoiler:
Love looking at couch potatoes telling world class athletes what they should or shouldn't be able to play with. Insane that despite a renowned specialist literally diagnosing the issue you still have dunces clinging onto the "it's all mental" spiel. I guess the 76ers paid off the doctor to come up with this diagnoses to make Fultz look good.

Stop with the insults.

I just read the Pompey article that he’s been participating in shooting drills and it’s been pain free.

He's a competitor. I believe his shoulder is as sore as his knee, at the end of the PAC-10 season last year.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I'd rather have an injured Fultz then a healthy Lonzo Ball.

All the more frustrating that he's getting another month of vacation. In the meantime, our 2nd unit is getting outscored on a nightly basis.

so Dr. Kilber, the Kentucky surgeon examined him and the team reports shoulder pain is easing and the the alignment with the shoulder blade is improving. hopefully, that means he's not headed to surgery. they'll ramp up the physical therapy as he increases basketball activity, including shooting, and they'll check him out again in a couple of weeks. sounds like we'll get him back at full strength by the all-star break? maybe earlier, but no need to push it. if we're playing .500 and close to nabbing a playoff spot, we'll get him back in time for the stretch run, w/o breaking him before he gets started with us.
