Might be premature considering we don't know if Jah can pass a physical at this point but welcome the new guy.

I think he could be a decent big off the bench for us.

I was watching film of him in 2015 with the Jazz and he slams everything and his new highlights are all lay-ups haha

He has been a solid rotation big every year he's been in the league. Positive DBPM/VORP every single season, and has become a very good defensive rebounder. He knows how to play.

Pretty similar to Amir Johnson...but with a little more offensive ability/less shot blocking. He's a rotational energy big man who wont kill you. Cant really shoot, but will knock down an open jumper out to the 3 point line occasionally....and candace up/drive a bit.

Likely gone at the end of the season if he isn't used as salary filler in a bigger trade by the deadline.

Holmes has been pushed deeper down the bench now, they better trade him for something now.

Holmes isn't going anywhere.

Poor Booker. The new Prokafor punching bag. :D

To add for the stats guys, Booker's only played 300-some mintes this year, and his advanced numbers look a little better when you look at the 7000 or so minutes he played the four years before that. Quickly estimated those are about:
-1.1 OBPM
1.5 DBPM
0.4 BPM
1.2 VORP

Still nothing to write home about but clearly looks like a rotation player in those numbers. (Also looks like he has a slightly negative RPM--maybe -0.3 or something--which is consistent with these other numbers (RPM is harsher than BPM)).

Nets fan here.

You will love this guy. Hard worker, plays with great energy, is an excellent finisher around the rim, can handle the ball in transition, and an overall great locker room guy. He will be missed here.

Good luck guys.

No I think Booker will see some 5. The main thing Booker does is he cuts down Amir’s minutes. Amir @ 8-10 minutes a night is still a solid contributor. Amir @ >=16 minutes a night is not.

I doubt Booker sees time at the 5. He's only 6'8" and not a rim protector. If Embiid is sitting, the pecking order for backup 5 is Amir, Holmes, Dario and Ben before Booker gets a shot.

Man I hope Booker brings good rotational defense and consistent rebounding. Holmes has been erratic this year.

Honesty i dont see a role for him this season. I would prefer a guard or a wing in return

So far this season we have had Embiid at our disposal (only missed 2 back to back). We still have another 12 back to back so Booker will help re-enfocre our Frontcourt behind Saric, Holmes and Johnson.

I know the league wide value for 2 way vs 1 way player. But you dont have to give that much for a 2 way player with no role to the team. You already have a glut of big now and stashed another 2 long term. Booker is already 30. So as an asset his value is also at a decline.

Amir Johnson is only 6-9. He's also complete trash.

Throw booker out there. Throw anyone. I've seen enough of Amir to last a lifetime.

In the games Embiid sits out we have a shortage of bigs, especially with our propensity for fouling. A solid guy to let us go five deep at the 4/5 spots, not even counting the minutes Simmons plays there. Adding a microwave type scoring guard would be ideal for the open roster spot.

Well after tonight, it doesn't look like Holmes is ready to give up his spot that easily.
