Open Roster Spot
After sending out Okafor/Stauskas for Booker, PHI now have an open roster spot.
What do you think the best use of the spot would be? Maybe a scoring guard? A strong wing defender?

I say a scoring guard that can also play defense. We don’t need another JJ, I still like JJ a lot but it’s ugly when he struggles to make shots

Almost impossible to add a 2-way threat at this point in the season. Most likely players that are available would be specialists so either scoring or defense, probably not both.

We POTENTIALLY have one on our list in Jonah Bolden. Not a shooting guard but a 3/4 that can shoot the 3 and play defense.
Remember he doesn't need to be instant starter... he is replacing one of either Okafor/Stauskas who averaged about 2 mins a game between them. Literally anything he does will be a net positive over those 2.

Derrick Jones is only 20 and played decently in his limited role for the Suns. I’d prefer him on the wing to TLC at this point.

There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.

For a complete gunner I think Gerald Green or Jordan Crawford seem to be the best available FAs right now.

Lou would be perfect for this team. Id love to send Bayless and 2 2nds to the clippers for him. But something like that probably won't happen til the trade deadline.

THIS.
We need a guy who will just come in and score off the bench. A Lou Will, a Crawford, a Jordan Clarkson.
Amir comes in at the 5 and its strictly for defense/rebounding purposes.
TJ comes in at the PG spot, he's best used as a pesky defender and someone looking to set someone up.
The rest of our bench are guys who need to be set up...but even then, struggle with consistency.
TLC needs to be found wide open for a set 3 or found cutting to a wide open basket.
Anderson is the same way.
Holmes needs to be spoon fed on the roll or under the basket.
Even starters Roco and JJ are both shooters that need to be hit in stride/open.
Embiid/Simmons are the only guys who can create there own shot or get by a defender in an attacking matter consistently. Fultz projects to do it as well, but thats TBD right now.

Re: Open Roster Spot
Id still give this dude a call on a 1 year veteran min deal.
Hes 31, but can be a volume 3 PT shooter, has size and his leaping ability is still ridiculous. Would be fun to see occasionally on the break and for spurts with Simmons. I think in our system & style of play, he could be a useful player off the bench for offense.
I was a fan of the TLC pick. But the most underwhelming part of his game so far has been his LACK of ability to finish above the rim. Coming into the draft, he looked like a guy who could ideally defend, knock down an open 3 but also attack the basket. He doesnt do it at all. Everything is a layup with him.

We are going to sign Jacob Pullen to a real contract and call it a day.

That would suck because he’s not an NBA player. Literally fills 0 needs to for us.
We have some of the worst 2-way players signed in the league. McAdoo and Pullen suck.

I hope that’s not what happens. Pullen is a G-Leaguer.

Did Pierre Jackson ever recovered his injury? maybe we can give him another look.

He is over playing with Bolden at the moment and doing very nicely.

Re: Open Roster Spot
Not sure where to put this but Ersan would have been nice scoring for the bench. He resigned with the Hawks for 6mil on a one year deal. Would have been better then giving Amir 11mil. I remember most of you guys said we don’t need him for bench scoring and look where we at lol
