it's not about I only care about offense

its that it doesnt matter who is at center for us, if it ISNT embiid, our defense is trash regardless... I would rather have the better guys on the offensive end playing when it doesnt matter who is at center after embiid as the opposing team scores at will anyways

this is just wrong. there is a sizable drop off defensively between Johnson being in the middle and Holmes. The defense stays afloat with Johnson out there it collapses with Holmes.

If it doesn't matter who's backing up Embiid. Than why the heck trade Okafor? Okafor can get 12-15 points off the bench easily. He may give up 20 points in 10 minutes. But Okafor is instant offense. Black hole. Sure, but instant offense.

Holmes has played exceptionally well with Embiid, tho. He's better suited for PF, it seems.

EDIT: Yes, I know everyone plays better with Embiid, but we're about +20 per 100 with them together. I think being able to swap Saric and him in what would be the starting line-up throughout the game could be great for us.

First NBA game I've been to since Iverson visited the Sonics. Was great hearing the TTP chants.

I'm really excited for this team, can't wait for Covington to get back. I know these past few games have sucked, but it's built my confidence in the new bench.

I like Booker a lot more than I initially would've thought.

Embiid played a career-high 39 minutes, 26 seconds. That was partly because of his back. While on the bench, he told the Sixers staff that he couldn’t sit very long because doing so would lead to his back tightening up.

“While I was playing, I didn’t have the lift that I usually have,” he said. “But I got out of this game pretty well.”

I think it has a lot to do with how he looks out there, even when he's playing well. He's lost his athletecism and his basically overmatched much of the time. Fans remember his bad plays, when he gets stuffed on layup, or has to make a blatant foul when someone blows by him, etc.

Personally, I love his OREB. You know how he may get 2-3 OREB in a single play because it takes him that many tries for him to get it into the hoop
