2017 Draft: Fultz trade and other 17 draft discussion

Post#1 » by HartfordWhalers » Thu Jan 4, 2018 5:37 pm

All,

Please let the 2017 draft and Fultz trade discussion carry on here.

sixers hoops wrote:We are addressing the concern of multiple threads getting taken off-topic in the last few months over disagreement regarding the Fultz trade. If you have an opinion about the Fultz trade, or any 2017 draft discussion, that discussion can occur here. Considering that this thread is one of the most divisive issues on our forum, keep in mind that the terms of service still apply, and violations, including personal attack, will be addressed.

Fultz never had nba three range. His shot was always broken unless in pure rhythm.

His pre draft workout was all the evidence needed. ( in the same way Porzingis' vegas pre draft workout was all the proof needed)

Brown said that while watching the four-on-four scrimmage, he was reminded that the first-overall pick “completely connects the dots to what we don’t have.”

The Sixers drafted Fultz because he’s a complete offensive player. The combo guard can create his own shot in addition to creating shots for teammates.

“The design of our team was … with him in mind and Ben [Simmons] in mind,” Brown said, “and then you have a bunch of Danny Greens. You do, you have a bunch of receivers.”

Green is San Antonio’s stationary sharpshooter.

With Fultz sidelined, the Sixers have struggled to create their own shots.

Exactly what I've said. like months ago. Thats why we need to trade up for Fultz. I couldnt find my old post that is lost with all the fultz thread and pages

No. we needed Doncic, Porter, or Bagley
If history is any guide then Lal will draw the second pick. Ayton will go 1.

History isn't any guide in regards to the lottery drawing.

I want Fultz to prove it on the court in an NBA game. Let him connect all the dots then.

Remember Brown is the coach that said Jah would be beasting after Thanksgiving. Yet there he is happy to be traded and getting DNP's for the Nets.
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

Some speculation on my part, but sounds like we're likely going to see him against Boston in London or 11/15 vs. Toronto. Can't wait.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Trading up for Fultz was dumber than the Okafor pick. At least Okafor only ruined one draft.

Jeeze lloyd ur still goin at it? Let the kid play a few weeks, hell even a few months before u make definitive statements like “he ruined ___” “he’s terrible”. You dont know this, just as i dont know if he’s good. Declaring anything about fultz right now negatively or overly optimistic is just silly and asking to be called out on carpet in the future.

There isn't a single poster on this board who doesn't already know your opinion on the trade. Because you've repeated it pretty much every single day.

At this point what is there to gain by constantly repeating it? Are you one of those people that just loves the sound of your own voice? Do you feel your opinion is so important that it must be repeated it to us mere mortals every single day? I just don't get it.

At least you didn't get a 19 years old player that is already in his prime and can't improve like celtics with tatum.

Seriously wait until fultz play and maybe we will be able to see if the trade was good

His opinion is welcomed in this thread. He just stated his opinion in a thread dedicated to the topic. Other posters are free to agree or disagree with his statement. Either debate him on the Fultz pick or ignore him. But let’s not make this thread about being irritated by Lloyd. If you don’t want to debate his opinion, then just ignore him.

I'm not worried about being called out. That's my opinion of the deal, based upon what I think of Fultz. If Fultz becomes a great player, worthy of that kind of deal, then that's a good thing for the 76ers, and I'll gladly take the ridicule for saying the deal was stupid.
