If that's the case, we should help LA get LeBron, Kawhi, and George by taking on Luol Deng and gut them of young, valuable assets. Someone like Kuzma. Or I'd trade Saric for Ingram and Deng.

If we can't get LeBron, we might as well assist in adding some insanity to the Western Conference Playoffs so they've been through some **** by the time they get to the Finals.

Pops has been reported to not want to trade Kawhi to the Lakers but if he does, what do the Spurs get from the Lakers? Then we can figure out what is still on the table for us.

I can’t see the Lakers going above Ingram, Ball, Deng, and a future 1st. Now, will Pop get a better offer if Kawhi won’t agree to resign anywhere but LA? Probably not. But I could also see Pop dealing him elsewhere for a lesser return to spite both Kawhi and the Lakers. (It doesn’t spite him because he’s gone from SA in two years no matter what  )

The may not go over that, but they are the most likely to go over that offer because they are the one team that knows he will re-sign with them and they know LeBron will be right behind him once the deal is done. So their really trading Kouzma and Ingram (or Ball) for BOTH Leonard and James. They'll go higher, much higher if necessary.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

They’re going to want a third star to go with Kawhi and LeBron. So I don’t think they’ll go higher so they have other ammo and cap space to add more to their roster.

^ ^ that's funny, the Lonzo Ball value thread on the Lakers board is worth a read. Some god-tier delusion with some of those fans.

Lonzo is a salutary lesson in drafting; the second overall pick from last year and although he does have some value I'm doubtful he'd garner a top 10 pick in this years draft, a draft with flawed players throughout the top 10.

So Kawhi plans in telling everyone he will only re-sign in LA. Hmmm.

If LeBron has already chosen LA...

1) Would you trade Covington and 26 for a Kawhi rental and hope you can convince him to stay?

2) Or is it time to put the full court press on PG13, who seems to be an afterthought of the Lakers? Come at him hard through back channels right now and show him he would be the man here.

I'd trade that in a heartbeat. Fortune favors the bold. You have to be willing to take calculated risks. I highly doubt Kawhi Leonard would willingly walk away from a situation this promising.

1) No

2) We can try but it won't work.

So Charlotte just made one of the dumbest moves I can remember in recent times.

What else are they supposed to do? Couldn't even win 40 games in the East and their cap situation is already effed with Batum, Williams, Kidd-Gilchrist and Zeller.

Not compound their problems by taking on $17 million next season in Mozgov for a couple seconds?

How about letting Dwight expire? You can buy like 5 second rounders for the price of Mozgov's contract.

Is that why they decide to take a much worse player with a longer contract and more money just for two second round picks ?

Charlotte is screwed until 2021. They should take on whatever bad contracts that expire by then the league can offer them if they're getting pick compensation for it.

Ah finally, the first trade. Man i love the nba draft - so much crazy stuff is gonna go down today and tomorrow. Hornets are gonna burn it all down Hinkie style.

IDK what Hornets are thinking. That's a terrible trade no matter how you look at it, and if it's not a firesale with following Kemba trade, than IDK what their GM is smoking.
