Naaa. They'll play him against the Celtics no matter what.

If he does he may fair better. They have younger guys. They aren’t all grown men trying to take his soul. He might look at Brown and Tatum and feel confident.

Definitely should fair better in that matchup. Plus Brett Brown wouldn't humiliate that kid, by third-stringing him in that series, while Boston is starting a rookie.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

I would love it if he went off in that series too. And went off in Boston. I’m probably asking for too much though.

I'd still play him in 5 minute stretches. If he starts going off one of these times, leave him in and ride the train. If he keeps sucking, just take him out. I'd instruct him to be a pain on defense and let the offense come to him.

Yes, you play him 4-5 minutes and see how he plays.

Right now we are all about maximizing our chance at winning the game, and Fultz has a tenuous grasp on his minutes.

It’s great experience for him when he gets playing time, but if he isn’t contributing then there are other players that have been playing better.

Anderson is very useful right now as a defender.

I think if we keep winning though that Fultz will have his moments.

i don't understand why the guy who took down Embiid can't be policing the Miami thugs.

Two bad games and we should bench him for the rest of the playoffs....geez maybe him and JJ need to sit in the corner for the next couple games, both have been subpar.

Point is you don't jump to a conclusion after 2 games, especially with a rookie who has barely played. That was the best mins TJ has played in 2 months, now he all of a sudden should get all the mins after 5 mins of play at the end of the game?!?

Come on, that just doesn't make sense. Fultz should get backup PG mins, one half from TJ doesn't change that, we still have to remember that TJ has been awful for months. A good 5 mins doesn't make up for that.

G3. Fultz-JJ-Beli vs Wade-Ellington-Winslow was a nightmare for our transition D. Beli did a poor job on Winslow, while they were a lot of crossmatch problems during that stretch.

He plays very safe in the playoffs and looks like his 90% of his tasks are to play defense and not turn the ball over. Without a jumper his alternative is taking the ball to the lion's den and he's being very passive and also selective about that.

G2, wade was just on fire. Wade even scored when he was heavily defended by both Ben and Roco.

When refs allows a lot of physicality on D, it's just tough to contribute on offense without a jumper as a 19yo rookie guard.

OT: remember the shoulder injury a mentioned a while back? Turns out it was a rotator cuff tear. My PT told me to do some stretches and exercise for the tear to heal correctly. Wear and tear and not stretching, lead it to heal not right, that explains why my shoulders experience some pain is extreme range of motion.

I've had 2 and full recovery is not always possible without surgery

My advice is to see a specialist

I do wonder what the odds are that Fultz gets some mins in this series. I believe if we had played the Bucks, he would've gotten some mins cause Bledsoe sucks, but against the Celtics I doubt it for optics reasons.

I do hope he does get a few mins, but I'm not keeping my hopes too high. In the last series, they put Wade on him and Wade really got to him with some vet stuff. I think he can give us some decent mins against Larkin cause Smart will start for Jaylon, but we will see what BB tihinks.

Well, at least hes not hiding from the media. Even without a jump shot, Fultz can help playing defense and driving to the hoop.
Not sure why he doesn't play but being hes not hurt you have to assume the coach feels he cant handle it. Which is astonishing in its own right for the first pick in the draft. Damn I wish someone from the Sixers front office put more time into scouting Mitchell. THAT guy would be a monster on the Sixers.

IMO it's obvious that he's not playing because 1) this was a team that won 50+ games without him, 2) he has had minimal time to integrate with the team, 3) the team would have to change their system to account for Simmons and Fultz, 4) its the playoffs - time to win not develop, 5) he's a 19 y/o rookie who's played less than 20 games - almost all rookies are net negative players (even #1 picks like Rose, Blake, etc.) until they've played 80+ games.. especially 19 y/o rookies ... Durant and Kobe were negative BPM players their rookie year.

Enjoy the ride, trust the process. Either he turns into a bust or not - who knows? We're trying to win so he's unlikely to help us... if he does then awesome.

Donovan Mitchell would be awesome for this team - I wish BC would have traded down to get him and more assets. But note that Mitchell played 2 years of college bball and is also two years older than Fultz. He's also played 85+ games so far this year.

I want Fultz to be a success here as a 76ers. But right now this interview means nothing.
He is saying all the right things because he has been coached up to say the right things.
The proof of all these words is on the court. Is he playing is he contributing ? Will he play?
If not then cheer on Fultz cheer on.
The Accession of Paul Reed is upon us !

You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

These are all reasonable takes. Although there is a huge hole in your argument.
Brett Brown was on 97.5 before the playoffs and said that Fultz is 100% part of the playoff rotation. He played 10 deer in the headlight minutes and never came back.
If those things you mentioned were valid then he would have never been in the rotation to begin with.
I hope he plays and can help the team. His skill set is unique. The team needs him, even without a jumpshot.

after disappearing the game before, during key moments last night our designated pg failed to lay the ball into the hole, looking for something more thunderous, failed to look for a pass coming his way, failed to pull the ball out with time running out and a one point lead, and failed to pass the ball inbounds to his team mate at the end of overtime. should he be benched for life? no, hopefully he'll learn. meanwhile, our other serious guard prospect, the one who recently set the record for youngest player to complete a triple double, is deemed unworthy because a hall of fame guard from the last series got into his head for like 10 minutes. somehow i think Brad Stevens would have handled it different. (what makes it disappointing is that Brett did such a good job getting Markelle onto the court and flashing some real athleticism prior to the playoffs.)

I would have been fine with us trading down and getting Dennis Smith JR as well. Maybe we will get lucky this year in the draft :-?
