Now spolestra figured us out. He knew exactly what brett's rotation is..and brett is dumb enough to announce that embiid is definitely out for game 1 to give spolestra time to adjust. Brilliant job, brett

Spoelstra sure figured us out. Brilliant job, Brett.

I thought it was a dumb move to start Ilyasova at the 5 in the 2nd half. Dead wrong I was.

Quick coaching note: for all the credit Spo gets as a coach, he made a mistake by not pressuring Simmons out top. You can't just let him make passes with no pressure.

Brett Brown adjusted to the physical Heat defense that shoots the gap by telling Redick, Covington and Belinelli to fade to the corners on threes and it worked swimmingly.

One thing to watch for in Game 2 is a lot more pressure placed on Simmons and defenders trailing on the Sixers' floppy sets. This will mean Simmons will have to put up higher point totals. It also means they're going to give up a lot more points in the paint, and it won't work when Embiid is back.

I think Miami's talent is too low to beat you guys.

Hate playing Whiteside without Embiid. That's the only thing killing my confidence.

He's not going to be played much with our pace. We'll be playing at a faster pace, which will negate Whiteside eventually...

You nailed it.

Not to mention, Whitesides motor is absolute ****. He only gets up for Jo. Otherwise, he's typically just a high level roleplayer.

Fultz comes in and we never let up off the gas. Also Fultz is helping the team limit their turnovers which needs to be stated. We just need him to be more aggressive offensively but can't really blame him for being a bit passive since Marco, Redick and Ersan are on fire

Props to Brett for that 2nd half lineup, definitely a difference maker.

Two negatives i saw
- Dario have a tough time scoring around the paint
- Fultz shooting weird, at some point his defender will help JJ/Beli

Amir was great on defense most of the night and battled well on the boards. Had a few nice passes too.

There's just too much evidence not to see how both teams expects sixers to win this. Just too much confident from our guys and Heat looked like bowing down.

NBA wont allow the Heat to go thru the next round. Nobody will watch them play if its not for the Sixers being a must see TV now

I was nervous as hell during a lot of this game, and then we blew them out late, and there was much rejoining.

Most valuable player today was Brett Brown.

If heat sagged off, what happens to the shooter when Ben hand it off to JJ or Beli?

Spo's gameplan was to let Ben be the scorer and to challenge the shooters. Ben didnt shot well this game and was a negative in the first half.

This win belongs to Colangelo and Brown...

Where would this team be without Marco and Ersan?....And he got them for free..

Brett made the coaching decision that turned the game around....full marks to him...

On a separate note....seeing Iverson at the game made me really sad....Imagine if he played with this type of shooting talent around him? And don't say he wouldn't pass the ball....nonsense.
