Ramona Shelburne has hinted they’re not really close friends on ESPN. She’s mentioned that before and that Joel is more so tight with Fultz and Justin Anderson.

There are 13 more guys in the roster, its a small group of people that work together. They get along just fine.

Both want to be the goat, both want rings and hall of game, and their games and egos fit on the court. One thrives dishing, the other finishes and isos. Their personalities even match: one is outspoken and a goofball while the other is quiet and cocky. Much like the Shaq and Kobe dynamic.

Things wont blow up like in LA for 2 reasons. One, in the quest for greatness they’ll realize they need each other. Every contender has multiple superstars. When Shaq was traded LA actually bet on Kobe to keep them at the top, with a little help from his friends. And number two, Kobe clashed for the spotlight but it was all about touches and shots and taking the last shot, beating the buzzer, winning, flashes, etc. I think Simmons doesn’t need that, he approaches the game and shines with his flare like a Magic Johnson.

I personally feel it already. Recent wins without Embiid clouded alot of peoples judgement on who the most important player is. Hopefully tonight humbled some people.

We go as far as Embiid takes us. Hopefully he's back for game 3.

You say that like it’s a fact Embiid would have taken over and won that game. There’s no proof Embiid guarantees that game is won. The 76ers have lost plenty with Embiid doing things like turning the ball over in critical moments, putting up bad shots etc. Embiid is the best player on the team until such time as Simmons develops a jumper but using this game as an example of some kind of conclusive proof is stupid.

miami wouldnt have scored 113 thats all i know

Part of that is because the pace of play would slow down, meaning both teams would score less. But yeah Embiid makes the team better. The point is not that the team is better off without him. It's that trying to say that because Simmons couldn't get the 76ers over the line by himself means he's a complimentary piece to Embiid the superstar is stupid.

Shocking that an LA reporter would want to play up something like that.

That means they hate each other? Come on now. We're in the middle of a playoff series and people want to day dream about fan fiction.

Has there ever been ANY evidence of ANYONE not getting along with Joel Embiid? He is smart, personable, accountable, and works hard.
