Re: Welcome Zhaire Smith
My excitement for Zhaire is ramping up. He's just the guy we need as a boost in the arm ramping up to the playoffs.
Freak athlete defender of guards that is extremely smart and low maintenance on the court.

Yeah I hope he has been paying attention so he isn’t lost on team defense schemes. Milton seems to have got it, so hopefully smith can too

Guessing he won't get a gig on 'Sesame' Street...
Could still be feeling a little 'seedy'.
That’s funny, I showed my wife your reply and she said we should be friends.

Re: Welcome Zhaire Smith
I don't know if we are going to get anything out of Zhaire this season, but if he could come back and play some good defense he's going to be valuable to this team. We need a perimeter defender in the playoffs. Brown has compared Zhaire to Avery Bradley. If he can at least stay in front of guards penetrating, the defense could be very good with Simmons/Zhaire/Butler/Harris (or Brewer)/Embiid. That's a lock down defense if Zhaire can hold up his end of the bargain.

I thought I saw a tweet that said he won't play until next week. Can't find it right now.

Me too. As of today I believe the word is next week.
Man we desperately need him and/or Fultz back soon.

Maybe...I thought originally they were both Feb 7, but that obviously may have changed given yesterday's game.

Wouldn't expect him to be playing soon. There should at least be a report about him doing contract parts of practice or something first.

Just let the kid take his time to work back on his game, we don’t need to rush him back this year. I don’t see him contributing much if any, come back next year

Re: Welcome Zhaire Smith
Zhaire is a prospect right now. I’d like to see him get some minutes this year, but even if he never got injured he probably wasn’t destined for rotation minutes in the playoffs. So just think long term with him. Have him play big minutes in summer league, and work hard in the offseason and see what we can get out of him next year.

"Looking great" is not exactly how I'd put it.

I don't think I can watch anymore clips of empty gym jump shots for a while. The Fultz situation just came to an end and it was too emotionally taxing

I like his old shooting form more than this new one.
There’s never been a time in history when we look back and say that the people who were censoring free speech were the good guys.
