Why would Bucks do that?
Middleton is a bit worse than Butler but younger/cheaper/not a cancer/...

Anyone think Kenneth Faried makes sense as a potential trade target? We could use the PF depth. I believe he's in the final year of his contract and doesn't really fit on a rebuilding team like Brooklyn.

Can't imagine him being too expensive... Bayless and a couple of 2nds should be enough to get their attention.

Per ESPN's trade machine, he makes too much to trade just Bayless for him, and there's no one else on the roster that is really just a salary filler (I don't think the guys on two way contracts count)

Also I think after Booker last year they are over using a nonshooter role player at the 4. (At least I am over that)

Speaking of the Nets though, I am eyeing DeMarre Carroll as a potential buyout guy if there's a need for wing depth.

Jared Dudley is a Net that they could actually just trade Bayless for. He'd be interesting if he has something left in the tank, over 36% from 3 every year since 2009, career 39.6%.

DeMarre Carroll would be a slippery guy to land. He's got a relationship with both Budenholzer and Nurse. So he could be favored to land with our direct competition.

Faried has his deficiencies, but at least plays some defense, rebounds, runs, and gives us a lob threat in the P&R. Moot point though if the salaries don't match.

NJ could be this season's Atlanta on the buyout market. If so, Carrol and Dudley should have plenty of suitors. Hopefully we're in that tier for guys looking to join a contender.

Nah, Faried has been less and less valuable each year he's been in the league. At no fault of his own, his style of player is just being phased out. Jarred Vanderbilt couldn't even get drafted out of Kentucky this year.

I'd say Vanderbilt didn't get drafted because he's on his second or third lower body injury before even entering the league.

Edit: except he was drafted in the second round.

Having a smart shooter with some size to play SF minutes would have been useful, but not at the expense of additional money to spend next summer. Korver having 2 years left is why he's still a Cav.
