I think Melo would come in here with a new perspective considering he's fighting to stay in the league at the moment. It's definitely worth the risk looking at our depth and what he could potentially bring to our team. I think people are too worried about the bad PR he'd likely bring.

I'm not worried about bad PR; I'm worried about his bad defense.

I believe we have enough good individual defenders where we could hide Melo on Defense and match him up with likely the weakest assignment. How much worse can he be than Chandler? He could give us another guy to look for in clutch moments and he'd stretch the floor a bit.

How do you hide him on the weakest assignment, when we switch on everything and really have no control of who he ends of covering?

Is Melo that bad on defense? I've seen Saric get abuse game after game, atleast Melo offers some girth to bang down low on defense. I am not saying Melo would be some savior for our team, all I am saying is it's worth a shot and there's really not much of a risk in doing so.

There is a report that the Bulls will try to keep and trade him until the deadline. They can still trade him on a 1-on-1 deal. He might set the record for the most number of teams in a season.

Yeah the Bulls made the trade because the Rockets gave them more cash than the Bulls owe Melo the rest of the year. Both teams profit off of it (the Rockets get tax savings)
