I think Minnesota is veering towards competence. They have Teague's contract coming off the books at the end of the year. Their roster is chock full of defenders around Towns.

I agree, they should beg someone to take Wiggins. Possibly a directionless Phoenix team and get his buddy Devin Booker. Booker/Towns and a bunch of defenders would be a title contender.

Doncic last night: 2-8 from three, 5-10 from the free throw line

I've been on this for a while. People need to stop prematurely assuming he's a shooter. He's more shotmaker at terrible percentages than shooter. As his international numbers suggested.

I wish we had a better shot at landing Dinwiddie in FA. He is one of the more elite scorers in this league and we could mask his defensive deficiencies here. For what we need, he's a much better fit for this team than Harris.

I loved Miles Bridges in college by the way. I often wonder what would happen if he landed in a great developmental spot like Shai instead of the Hornets. It wouldn't surprise me if his developmental curve looks a bit different because of the poor environment.

Based purely off his skillset, I think Alexander-Walker absolutely will be another iteration of Bradley Beal. Like I mentioned though, it's hard to account for intangible aspects for guys maxing out their potential. As long as he wants to be great and works to be great, he will be. He's so complete as a talent.

I'm pretty sure you and I had arguments about Bridges that year (I think). I wasn't a fan. I thought he had a pre-Clippers iteration of Tobias Harris ceiling. Didn't like his defense or onball ability. I thought Josh Okogie was by far the best sophomore prospect in that draft.

I don't know if environment can be used as an excuse here, I think you dramatically underrated Shai and overrated Miles. Or maybe it was Plo and not you, I forget.

Continues to be hilarious that SGA refused to work out for anyone but the Clippers and then they shipped him off to OKC a year later.

Redick has played about 25 minutes in total for the first two preseason matches. He is also coming off the bench. He does not look comfortable out there.I wonder if he will quietly ask to be traded to a team wanting to utilise his unique set of skills.

Pelicans turned out to be a really weird spot for Redick. That team is loaded with Gs.

gonna be interesting comparing michael porter jr's career to tobias harris. without the injuries, one would assume mpj to be a perennial all-star. but health makes it an interesting analogy.

Why would they be compared?

Because there is nothing about their career paths or situations that could be compared. Just a strange, out of nowhere, comp.

They'll be an elite offense, once again, but can they stop anyone?

Kent Bazemore and an unproven, raw Nassir Little seem to be the only (non-big) defensive players on their roster.

He'll have to do something for an entire NBA season before we compare him to a proven NBA scorer.

Speaking of the Porter fam, Jontay couldn't even get a training camp invite from someone? Dude was a GREAT prospect, in my eyes. Is he that damaged goods?

Yeah I mean he had 2 ACL tears in 6 months so it’s possible.

I'd imagine during his one season with Missouri, the 16% of shots at the rim and twice torn ACL on an already unathletic big man scares teams off.

Pelicans appeared to be just collecting talent since they didn't have much leverage in the AD trade and wanted biggest return possible.
