While I agree, it's still an annoying first sentence to start off this thread...

And I think Lowry will be on JJ rather Green.

They have the defensive pieces to matchup with us, but you could say the same thing the other way. No explosive pick and roll guards to give us fits. Taking care of the ball needs to be a major focus in this series

The Sixers will have to attack Lowry or VanVleet without mercy to have a shot at winning the series.

I expect us to defend them like:

Redick-Green
Butler-Lowry
Simmons-Kawhi
Harris-Siakam
Embiid-Gasol

Going to be a very tough matchup for us, as they've been a thorn in our side all year. However, our starter's advanced metrics have been ridiculous and believe we have a good shot by talent alone.

A choke job from Lowry would help tremendously here.

Sixers in 6.
2025-2026 Philadelphia 76ers:

Maxey/McCain/Lowry
Grimes/Edgecombe/Gordon
Oubre/Edwards
George/Watford/Walker
Embiid/Bona/Drummond/Broome

Seriously this is how we started a series thread? Whole I agree with the possibility of the sixers getting owned, this is a different team than what played Toronto. Ben will have to bring it, and Jiminy will need to be consistent. JoJo well need to play about 34-36 minute for us to be in it. I feel like if we win it'll be in 6, as I can't see us winning a game 7 on there floor. Crazier things have happened though. We shall see.

I'm a raptors fan and i obviously want the raptors to win but i'm nervious about this matchup against the 76ers

prior to the Harris trade i would have been confident with rap's beating the 76ers but adding another 20+ scorrer to the mix makes phily dangerous

Did Scott clamp his foot in a George Foreman grill?

Can someone edit the first sentence. Have all the negative discussion you want in the thread, but it’s betrayal to start a thread like that.

imho, refs are going to play a big part of the series. sixers #1 in FTA's in the playoffs. raptors not only #16, but apparently the lowest FTA's for any playoff team the last 20 years.

Raps defensive matchups will likely be the following:

Lowry on Reddick
Green on Butler
Siakam on Harris
Gasol on Embiid
Kawhi on Simmons

My bold prediction for this series is that Markelle Fultz attends at least one of these games.

Sorry for my OP.

The combination of Raps elite wings and Gasol will make it tough for Embiid and Ben. Almost neutralized both guys.

Probably the toughest team for us. I dont see teams like GSW or Bucks being this equipped to slow us down. Both teams dont have the combination of bigs and wings to give us that.

I find the best bet to attack the Raps is the 1-5 PnR and force Gasol to step out, something DJ-Vuc did in G1. I hope we can do something similar with the Jj-Biid DHO or Butler-Biid PnR. Gasol likes to sag in the paint.

I also would like to see Ben locking down Lowry. Then attacking him in transition. Then I’d like to see Butler and Tobias stepping it up defensively and make life tough for both Kawhi and Siakam.

Embiid's minutes will be key. I don't think he will be able to play enough minutes for the Sixers to win the series.

Yea i feel that we have a good chance against every other team in the league but the Raptors are the worst possible match up right now. The series could get ugly but it should still be a good lesson for Simmons and Embiid. In the end you usually need to lose some before you start winning big.

Kawhi Leonard is 13-0 vs the Philadelphia 76ers in his career.

In the 3 games this season against the Toronto Raptors, Ben Simmons put up 17 points and 11 turnovers in 115 possessions defended by Kawhi.

I’m ok losing this series as long as we do our best and that includes playing with best effort while coaching staff needs to do their homework.

Do we have to wait for all first round match ups to finish before the second round starts?

If it's just pain and no risk of reinjury I think he will.
